12  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / UPDATED!! from trash to treasure: old jeans to new purse! UPDATED!!! on: August 20, 2007 04:22:48 PM
ok so i have this really great landlady and we were talking about the purses that i have been making. she asked me if i could make her one of those jean purses that you see in the stores for about $35. i said that i would give it a try and she give me a pair of her old jeans. all that we have invested in these is the ribbon that she bought to make the belt and the bows. i had took front and back of the purse but somehow deleted the front pic. don't worry i will get another one and post it in a little bit. well at least here is the back of it.

my landlady is just plain ole country and this ribbon worked out perfectly with the jeans. needless to say she loved it when i took it to her.

13  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / red bandana purse on: August 19, 2007 11:17:09 PM
i made this for my mom with some material that she had. the front and back is made with red bandanna material and the sides and inside is from the plain red material. i didn't want it to be too busy by making it with all the bandanna material. the more i make of these the better i get.  Cheesy  once i got everything cut out it took no  way no more nasty web cam pics thanx to my mom who got me a digital for my birthday. so y'all should be able to see the pics good now. yeah for my mom. this purse was the least i could do for her. i owe her big time now.

the whole purse:

a close up of the outside

you can't see it that good but there is a pocket on the inside. everything blends together so you really can't tell the inside from the outside.

i don't know why my pics don't come up but hope y'all can see them.
i hope you enjoyed
thanx for looking.

14  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Knifty Knitter hat and scarf for swap on: July 20, 2007 07:09:34 PM
ok we all know my pics suck but please bear with me. i made this to go into my swap box because my partner said it was kinda cold where she lived so i thought to send this. i made it on my knifty knitter looms with some fat soft yarn that i have been hording for like forever and it just told me to knit for my swap. i bought it at big lots for only $1, so i bought 4 of them and thank god that i did because i used everyone for the scarf and hat. it looks something like a tiger with soft yellow tan and brown colors mixed together. i usually add fringe to the ends of my scarfs but this yarn loved to unravel so i couldn't add my fringe but i think it turned out just fine without. what do ya'll think?

18  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / birthday gift for my neice on: May 30, 2007 10:49:41 PM
well here i am again. this is a necklace and earrings that i made for my 14 year old niece for her b-day. her birthstone is emerald so i used emerald bi-cones in swavorskian crystals and aurora borealis bi-cones and pineapple shaped glass beads. she hasn't seen them yet but she did pick out the color that went with the emeralds. i know she will love them. let me know what you think. and thanx for looking again.

the necklace is a filigree heart that was meant to be for earrings but i've seen them used for necklaces theres a cluster of beads on the top of a tear drop crystal and it is connected with a silver heart and toggle clasp.

the earrings are an open heart that matches the necklace with the same beads hanging down with three different dangles.

20  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / knifty knitted hidey bags on: November 06, 2006 10:27:48 PM
ok here i am again with my knifty knitter. sorry about the pics all i have is a cheap Grin web cam. i recently had a swap (adult swap) that i did these for. i wont tell you what goes in them because you should be able to figure it out. the one on the left is done with lavender and purple yarn (1 strand each) to keep whatever you put in the bag in the bag i also sewed a see-through shimmery bag that i bought on sale. the left one has hot pink and the blue one has a light blue bag. the one one the right is made with navy and blue variegated yarn (1 strand of each). after i get through sewing the inner bags i used some pretty ribbons 2 different color for each bag so you can pull the ties and shut the bags. i think it took me all of three days to finish the whole project. my swap partner said that she really like the bags. well thanx for looking. hope you like.
