2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Beaded Lanyard with Matching Earrings on: October 04, 2011 11:26:38 PM
its been along time since i have been on here and posted but i have been doing a little different to supplement my income. and these are just one of 10 different colors that i have done. i forgot to take pics of the others. but you know what i have been up to. i made these for a neighbor who is a teacher and was saying that some of the lanyards that they found for theyre badges was really ugly and made out of plastic beads. so i set down on the internet and looked at some of the designs and come up with my own. i hope i did this right and ya'll can see them.
Enjoy

lanyard with some pretty orangey lampwork beads and some others beads i got to match them

close up of lanyard with swarovski crystals to add a little sparkle

i used one each of the beads for the lanyards to make the matching earrings

I can't seem to get your link to work Sad.

We do have a tutorial on making a beaded wine bottle cover...
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=121555.0

Is it similar to that? Maybe you could tweak the design a bit to fit a lampshade??

I'm going to move this thread to Jewelry because I bet the craftster'ers over there will have some great ideas!

no they use the round beads. i will find the necklace in fire mountain gems and try to post it again. thanks for moving this. it has been a long time since i have been on here so i didnt know exactly where it went.

does anyone know how to make or where to get instructions on how to make beaded lamp covers. i have seen some that just go over the shade and it makes a very beautiful addition to the lamp. i have included a necklace that looks something like the cover. if anyone can help me i would be a very happy woman.
