21  Re: January Jamboree! - IYP5 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by igobylorib on: January 30, 2007 05:04:11 PM
As you already saw, I was spoiled by the amazing talents of SewingLori. Here are some pictures of the goodies I sent her. My first love has always been paper crafts so I decided to send a package of goodies using mainly paper crafts.

Here son's room will have (has) a train theme so I made a pictures frame for him:

I also painted a caboose and two additional trains. One was red, one yellow and one blue. I found the color names in a vintage book and decoupaged them onto the train itself.

Hee kitchen is vintage red and white so I made her some magnets for her fridge.

I also made her this house hanging with her monogram on it.

Her bedroom colors are pink, blue and brown. Her dh is a bit unsure about these colors so I made a plaque for their bedroom hoping he might warm up to the color combo.

Lori also had wisted a paper pack and so I sent her a package of my favorite papers to work with.

I had a lot of fun with this swap and look forward to playing again in the next round.
thanks for looking-
hugs
lorib

22  Re: Sweat Shoppe Swap (round 7!) now to Jan 21 in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by igobylorib on: January 20, 2007 07:13:22 PM
I've changed my mind about my offering a little. My first offering will be a set of 4 note cards with envelopes:

The color of the card and houses will vary Smiley The roofs are stitched, the houses are inked and stamped as well. The heart is made of felt with embroidery floss.

My other offering will be this needlebook:

The fabrics will vary. It will come as you see it, with needles, pins and 6 vintage buttons just to get you started.

Here's a picture of what the coasters look like.  Each set of 4 coasters would color coordinate and might differ from what I did here.

I have wanted to make myself a needlebook for the longest time and came up with this version. I really like the way it turned out so  I am going to offer them for this swap. The outside fabrics will differ. The inside "pages" are solid felt and will coordinate with the outside fabric, color wise. This book has blue inside pages. The button is purely decorative - it has a velcro closure. It measures about 6" x 4 1/2".

I put my name in twice and wasn't sure if I should just offer these, or something else. I initially said felt key chains, but now I'm thinking a set of 4 fabric coasters. Any thoughts?Huh

25  Re: Baby/Kid Stuff Swap (Round 4) in The Swap Gallery by igobylorib on: December 04, 2006 05:58:03 PM
Here are some pictures I took. I didn't take a picture of the apron before sending it Sad

a close up of the t-shirt Smiley

The apple tree stuffie. One apple is turned over and shows the velcro dot on the back. I didn't put the other side of the velcro on the tree because I thought Astrid would rather put them where she wants to. Plus it's made out of felt so the velcro sticks well.

the pillow case, which fits a travel pillow perfectly Smiley

Here is a little pouch I am going to be offering. I'm going to include something with it. I'm thinking a birdie ornament to match the one on the pouch Smiley

I made these "altered matchboxes" for the Sept/Oct Wist swap. She plans on putting them in a large bowl for display. They are decorated on both sides Smiley Is this something that anyone would be interested in? They were fun to make and can be color customized easily.

30  Re: Ongoing Wish Swap 14 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by igobylorib on: October 10, 2006 06:33:40 AM
thank you. That was super easy Smiley I received this wonderful totebag from ZombieFlesh. The felt bird is awesom. She threw in an extra coin purse made out of felt and had put some great trim and buttons inside it for me. The tote is perfect for library book and the coin purse will hold library cards.

Here's a cuff I made for thelittlestninja. It was quite a challenge, but turned out cool and she liked it, which is what matters Smiley

I also received this fabulous car litter bag from mlwl.
And if that wasn't enough, she also sent me a bonus totebag. I LOVE the fabric
