11  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Beginning Paper Artist-- Basics! on: October 16, 2007 06:37:52 PM
OK, so I want to get into the paper arts, namely card-making and place-card making, stuff like that. I figured if we all pooled together to make a master list of basic stuff, that it could be a resource for others just like me!

OK, so just to start, here is a list of things that I think you would need.
Items in bold are ones I don't have.

TOOLS
Straight Scissors
Decorative-Edge Scissors
Hole Puncher
Photo Cutter

ADHESIVES
Rubber Cement
White Glue
Scotch Tape
Duct Tape
Packing Tape
Aleene's Jewel-It
Metal Leaf Adhesive

COLORING
Markers
Colored Pencils
Crayons
Oil Paints
Watercolors

Old Music Books
Old Magazines
Scrapbook Paper

EMBELLISHMENTS

Yes, I know this list is long, but I would love the help of some expert paper crafters out there.

What's in your stash?

13  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Sprind Awakening - Wendla's Dress!!! on: October 14, 2007 03:49:50 PM
One tip I have for buttonholes is to just keep practicing them ona  spare piece of fabric. I have this one piece with like 50 buttonholes on it. im going to put it in a patchwork bag soon.

hope that helps?

i made a chain necklace before, and how do you get it to sit like it does in the first one? mine always hang down like the second one.

[not that theres anything wrong with that, im just trying to get it so the chains are spread out]

18  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / Re: how to make extra-full beaded bracelets? on: September 12, 2007 03:23:21 PM
i like it like that, really cool colors you're using. But for extra fullness, I'd just say to load it with charms, and try to attach some to the top (does that make sense?) to try and rid yourself of the ridge of chain that is showing through.

But gravity is against you on this one though.

hahaha i instantly recognized this one! its from those scary stories to tell in the dark books. they had a black border on the cover and were white with like a weird picture in the middle. theres one with like a house/barn on it, and another with a creepy ass clown.

Nice Job!
