12  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / 1000 Lucky Stars by 2008 on: November 02, 2007 05:59:41 PM
My mom recently was diagnosed with breast cancer. I've heard of the Chinese tradition of making 1000 cranes for better health, I can't seem to make a single crane. So my solution is to make 1000 Pink Lucky Stars

Here is a Tute on how to make themhttp://www.opane.com/luckystar.html
Would anyone like to make some with me? You can give them away to a loved one, or just for luck.
The paper size is 10"x1/2" or something near that size
13  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Crochet hat w/ brim on: October 30, 2007 02:43:01 PM
does anyone have a pattern
http://images.etsy.com/all_images/b/b84/0d7/il_fullxfull.10483536.jpg
That looks like this hat, i've looked at all the other patterns and can't find one I like. I'm a begginer crocheter, but if you could tell me the stitch I could learn it.

Any help would be great,

Tess
14  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / movie Swap? on: October 11, 2007 01:12:32 PM
Would anybody want to do a movie swap. Basically you would name your top 5 favorite movies and your partner would craft based on those. You would probably need to name your favorite scenes as well to help if they haven't seen it (or they could rent it).  I would organize (once i complete my two swaps right now). I would probably limit to 25 just because I've never organized. It would be 1 Large 1 Med and 1 Small. Just let me know if any of you are interested and if I get a good number of you I might start it. Any suggestions are welcome.
15  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Is kool-aide safe? on: September 26, 2007 10:09:25 PM
Ok, my sweet dog Jay Jay is a lhasa apso and for halloween I always want him to dress up, but he is a master of taking off and tearing up any clothes I put on him. Soooo I was thinking of making him Franken-Puppy-Stein, so that way he could just wear a collar with bolts on the side. Now I use to know someone who would dye their dog's mowhawk with kool-aide, so I was wondering if this is safe. Obviously I know not to get it in his eyes, but I just want to be sure its safe. I would use green (if that makes a difference) I just want to look out for his safety.  Grin

20  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Soda Can Dino on: August 06, 2007 04:56:24 PM
I made this necklace for my twin sister. Its made of two Dr. Pepper cans. I still need to string it, but I was wanting to back it with something (my sister says it will break because of how small it is?) any suggestions? We got the design off of a necklace on Tatty Devine
