I received two packages I still need to show off.

First, from sajona, I received a lovely package.  The first to come out was this fleece blanket.  My 2-year old son pulled it right out and starting exclaiming, "it's so soft!"  When I explained to him that it was for his baby sister he said, "the baby is sharing".

Next, was these two fabric bags:

Inside the bags were a lovely, big, changing pad for the new baby and a bunch of scraps for a scrap quilt I'm working on!.

Next, from kitchqueen, I received another lovely baby girl package:

You can see a little hoodie blanket, a bib, booties, and tiny hat.  She also included a crib sheet that she had never been able to use.

Thank you so much ladies!  Everything is very much appreciated  Cheesy.

Oh, I love those embroidered towels!  Beautiful.

AsphaltQueen:  Yay, I am so happy you like the wall hanging!!  I had so much guilt sending you something that was already made, rather than making something especially for you.  My son's ear infection is all better now, but he's on super antibiotics, which make him crazy mood-swinging toddler.  It's a roller coaster over here Wink.

Here are some pictures I have, since you asked for them:

Yeah, mine last a good long while.  I don't tend to keep spare blades around.  I just buy them as I need them.

Yeah, definitely be careful with that rotary cutter.  I use my ALL the time, yet I still managed to slip once and earned myself a trip to the ER and 8 stitches in my finger.  I call that project the $200 quilt.

oneredboot: Yes, I definitely appreciated the non-pinkness Wink.  I really like the soft blue color you used.  Beautiful.  Sigh.

And, Yay - a picture of Spot!  Here he is modeling the mini-iron and the mini-ironing board.  It was hard giving Spot away, even though I had no use for him.  He's just so soft and snuggly!

I received from OneRedBoot and, oh my goodness, I've been so spoiled.

First, she sent me two little bandanna bibs.  I do believe I spy Denyse Schmidt and Amy Butler Fabrics??

And here is one being modeled by Lambie the Lamb (our stuffed animals have woefully unoriginal names):

And here is the unbelievable snap bonnet she sent (once again, modeled by Lambie)!  I cannot believe it is hand made - it looks SO professional.

OneRedBoot, if you have better pictures, feel free to post them.  I don't think my picture does this bonnet justice.  It is just so gorgeous and I know my summer baby will love it.  Well, I will love it.  She probably won't know the difference Wink

I received my package from AsphaltQueen and I am feeling so, so spoiled.  She was supposed to send me note cards and felt (so I can possibly make some felt food).  And, well, she did that, but the quantity (and quality) she sent was amazing.  I mean, look at all that felt!!

Check it out:

And here is a close up of all the fabulous cards:

Thank you so much, AsphaltQueen!!
20  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Ongoing Wish Swap Round 32 on: March 12, 2008 11:26:35 AM
I claim 1boy1girl1kitty2 for any quilting books or mags

I'm in Fairfax, Va (USA).  This is my 4th claim. 2 sent, 1 received.

About me: I am a 30-year-old stay at home mom who loves to sew, but seems to have very little time to do so of late. I'm not very girly and I'm not a big fan of trinkets.  Basically, I'm very practical and like useful things.  Of course, I consider things to hang on the walls useful Wink.

Things for my kids:

I am expecting a little girl late June and would love some crafted goodies for her.  Here are some suggestions:

-Room Accessories (artwork? pillows? etc.) in lavender (I'm trying to convert my green/blue/yellow nursery into a girl's room by adding lavender accents)

-I need a new changing pad to keep in my diaper bag.  Something waterproof, please (maybe oilcloth??).

My 2.5-year-old son doesn't want to be left out of the crafty goodness either!

-My sister-in-law is making him a toy kitchen, but he doesn't have any play food.  I would LOVE some crafted food for him.  Nothing with choke-able parts, so probably made of fabric would be good.

-Dress up clothes.  I'm trying to put together a collection of dress-up clothes for him, but I'm stumped for what to include in it.  So far, all he has is some capes and a fireman hat.  I would appreciate some assistance -whatever you can dream up.

Things For Me:

-Homemade notecards.  I love sending homemade notecards and I've seen some really beautiful ones out there.  You can have total creative freedom with this one, just stay away from anything religious or political Wink.

-Cloth napkins, for everyday use, in shades of blue, purple, or yellow

-A tote bag to bring to the farmer's market this spring/summer. Something sturdy enough to handle all my veggies!

-Anything from my wists.

-Surprise me with what you do best.  Just, you know, try to make it something I can make use of Wink.

-Quilting fabric.  I'm a quilter and my stash is woefully in need of some yellows, purples and neutrals.  I'll accept any and all sized pieces (including scraps), but I would really prefer good quality fabric.

-Sewing patterns for children's' clothing.  I especially would like a pattern for baby bloomers (you know, to wear under dresses).

-Bias Tape Maker

-Any empty spice jars/containers (plastic only, please!) for my son's play kitchen.  He currently only has bay leaves and everything he "cooks" contains massive quantities of them!

-3" fabric squares for a scrap quilt I'm working on.  Don't send a ton - just a few.  And all different fabrics please.  I want a real variety Wink.
