2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: How about a craft for my pet swap? on: February 24, 2014 10:03:13 AM
I would LOVE to join!

I think pet-related people crafts are a great idea too.  I have LOTS of pets, but I also have a cat obsessed DD.  Smiley

We have Bella, my 5 year old boxer/lab ox of a dog and 8 (yes Cool cats...3 are only indoors (they range in age from 17 to 5 years old) and 5 indoor/outdoor (ages 1 to 7 months).  I am VERY lucky that my indoor boys are laid back enough to accept the outdoor kitties on occasion.  We also have a 12 year old snake, a tortoise and a turtle...you know, in case some reptile love is out there.  Smiley

Ok...we are gonna give this another go.

We agreed on extras...I just hope that her daughter isn't disappointed when she receives.  I always get craft anxiety.

First, there is this adorable card that she sent along to my son letting him know how much fun it was to craft for him.

A cute Creeper bag...I'm sure he will find many uses for this.

A set of magnets, my guess is that these will end up in his locker at school.

A treasure chest...how cool is that!?

And perhaps the coolest thing ever...A wolf head on a plaque!

I haven't given it to him yet.  It will be a surprise for good grades that should be coming out later this week.

Thank you SO much Makaylee!!!

I received a great package from Makaylee!

However, my internet is painfully slow.  I have the photos downloaded and ready to post.  I will try again later today.

For pkwj...I did some studies that don't suggest rice for those packs. It burns in the microwave. They suggest corn...like the kind used to feed deer. You can get it at WalMart, or any other shop that has an amo/hunting department. And is much cheaper, too.

Thank you for bringing that to my attention.  I use rice at home... buy I do have to be really careful not to burn it.

I will be using corn instead of rice for these. Smiley

Love those bears. Slightly confused though, are we able to chose whether they are stuffed or rice? That said I will be asking for an empty one anyhow...as would want it as heat pack and know sending rice packs to the UK is expensive!!

Thank you!

Yes, the choice can be made to have it empty, rice or stuffed.  Smiley
