You look adorable!  Great pants!

iloveyou330, Maybe it's not that you're losing any more than usual, but that you notice it more because it's a different color?

I'm so boring and old compared to you all.  I could never pull off any of your cool hairdos.  Here's my boring hair:

3  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: robots in spring! on: May 22, 2005 08:00:29 PM
Cute stuff!

My daughter's room is going to be robot themed (she LOVES the movie Short Circuit, she's always drawing/making robots, and she and her dad are working on making an actual functional robot).  A lot of the stuff on this thread inspired me, and I was wondering if anyone minded if I used a few of your great ideas?  Specifically, I was going to do a set of four paintings...robots in spring/summer/fall/winter...and I was wondering of alisonwonderland would mind me spinning off the bird's nest idea for my spring robot.  If I post my finished product here, I'll definitely give you credit.  Thanks!
4  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Film thingies... on: May 21, 2005 12:32:34 PM
If you can't come up with anything good, consider donating them to an elementary school.  We can always use them to store little pieces.
5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: mispronunciations! 'fess up! on: May 15, 2005 07:55:21 PM
I'm a southerner with a bad, bad drawl, and I married a British man.  I'm "corrected" or mocked constantly.  I think I should just never say anything ever again.   Roll Eyes  Whenever he does it now, I just puts my fingers in my ears and hum "God Save the Queen" over him until he shuts it.  LOL.   Grin
6  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Re: Birthday Party for a 5yr old boy? Ideas? on: May 14, 2005 08:02:43 PM
Also check out familyfun.com.  They had a jungle themed party in their magazine once that was absolutely adorable.  I tried to talk my 5 year old daughter into it, but she insisted upon a "pink" party.
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Clothing Pet Peeves on: May 14, 2005 07:55:04 PM
I love the built-in-bra tanks.  I bought about 10 of them for the summer.  However, I hate that there are hardly any freaking shirts with SLEEVES out there!  I have a tattoo on my arm, and since I'm a schoolteacher, that means I can't wear sleeveless to work.  So I have to wear my long-sleeved winter shirts in warm weather and absolutely swelter on the playground.

I have a freakishly long torso, so it's also hard to find shirts that cover my belly.  And oddly enough, my long torso makes it difficult to find pants that fit right.  You wouldn't think it'd matter, but it does.

They have GOT to do something about these low-waist pants so that real people can actually fit in them properly.  I am so tired of seeing people's asscracks, and I'm sure people are tired of seeing mine.  I think they look great on me, but it's uncomfortable and embarrassing when I bend over.

I'm not ragging on your for being 12...I was reminding some of the others because I thought they were forgetting.  Didn't say you couldn't be punk...be whatcha wanna be.  Hell, I'm 26 and I don't even know what I am (but I do know I'm NOT punk, lol).   Smiley

10  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Reconcilliation... on: March 27, 2005 10:54:30 PM
My husband and I recently reconciled after a period of separation.  Everything is working out fabulously, but I would like to make him something to show that I'm happy for us and I love him.  I tried painting something, but I didn't like it.  Tell me about some of your more lovey-dovey crafts that you've done, so I can get some ideas!

Thanks.
