Would anyone else be interested in a "psychobabble" swap? This would be anything related to psychology, or the history of psychology. Things that come to mind are Freudian slippers, a pin cushion shaped as an L- chair, personalized journal, ect..... This is in no way to disregard psychology.....I was a psych major in college and work in the social services field. I find anything remotely to do with psychology interesting..... I even have a Freudian 8-ball.
I was hoping you could help me find links for really unique and funky charms. I am wanting to create a very personalized charm bracelet. Kind of an "all about me" bracelet. I'm not sure what exact charms I am looking for, but I will know it when I see it. I'd prefer sterling charms, but am flexible. Thanks for your help!!
I received the most awesome package from Ilovepaper. Wow! What great stuff! Not only did she include rockin' paper, fabric, and patches, but also sent a rubber stamp and an ink pad. I will post pics tomorrow. I don't know how you packed so much stuff into the bag! I'm just starting to dabble in paper crafts, so this stuff will be great for book altering, next month. Thank-you so much for everything!!
Have you always wanted to learn a new craft, but just needed that kick in the behind to try something new? Want to develop your crafting skills even further? Getting tired of flakey swappers or paying for postage? Then this is swap for you.
Each month will we will have a sponsored craft that we will work on together. We will share our frustrations, tears, and excitement. The best part? You get to keep the crafts you make.
The purpose of the un-swap is to share tips and inspiration and create a tight-knit community of friendly craftsters.
To make my life easier, we are going to have quarterly sign ups. This means, during a given quarter, you will complete 3 crafts. The upcoming schedule is as follows:
February: Altered Book Making March: Doll/Monster making April: Fun with Polymer Clay
The patterns you use are completely up to you. If you are an "expert" in any given area, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!! You may earn a special place in your fellow craftsters heart by providing a tutorial. Pledge:
"I solemnly swear to uphold my promise of completing said projects in the given month to the best of my ability. I will maintain positive and encouraging to others, but most importantly myself. I will post at least 1-2 times per month, updating others on my progress."
What I need from you: Please send me your Craftster name and your email address. If you have already signed up for the previous craftalong, just send me a pm letting me know you are crafting along.
Why should I sign up: The purpose of the craftalong is to create a "smaller" tight-knit community of crafting friends to share a 3-6-9-12 month journey.
Can I sign up after the sign-up date is closed: Please contact me. I'm sure we can work something out!
Its almost the start of the new year, as well as the last of the 1st segment of the craftalong. I have several questions for my fellow craftsters:
Have you found the craftalongs to be helpful or fun? Would you partake in another one? If yes, would you like to start up another one in Feb or have a month off and start again in March? Do you think the next one should be one or three months long? What kinds of things would you like to do for the next craftalong?
