1  polymer and shrinkys, oh my! (kinda image heavy) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by trinnie_doo on: July 27, 2007 11:37:15 AM
okay so here's my first attempt EVER at polymer...i found a tutorial online for a "gingham" cane, and being a huge fan of gingham, i had to try it...i had some shrinky cherries i made and glued that on top...however, when i went to seal the cherries, the spray sealant blew the glitter everywhere!

whatcha think?    be gentle!  this was my first attempt!

also here's some of my other shrinky necklaces...i'm especially fond of the sparrows!

the crossbones got a little wonky when it shrank...oh well, my 15 yr old niece loves it!

comments are welcome, of course!  along with polymer tips...i think i found my new obsession!!!

some sushi magnets (sorry for the bad pics...damn camera flash)

a pocket mirror and some sushi earrings...

SERIOUSLY it was like xmas!  i actually got a little emotional!  now i totally don't think my tin was even up to par... Sad

4  Here's what happens...(IMG HEAVY) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by trinnie_doo on: June 16, 2006 08:48:43 AM
...when you're trying to ignore your mother-in-law that's spending the next 2 weeks with you...I made purses!

i had some leftover fabric from a dress, so here's what that scrap turned into...

here's the inside:

i had a hard time with the interfacing, i think i used to light of a weight, so next one, a little bit heavier, i'm thinking...

also, here's a little make-up purse i made by sewing zippers together...

here's an "action" shot

and a close-up of the zippers

whatcha think?

5  my new wallet! (4 pics) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by trinnie_doo on: June 06, 2006 11:50:44 AM
i just joined this board and i'm so excited about all the craftiness that's going on!

using this tutorial, http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=81996.msg778173  i made my first wallet!  only thing i need to figure out is how to close it, i'm thinking a little piece of velcro.  next one i make, i think i'm going to put the button on the pocket BEFORE i sew it together...
