That's adorable!! It looks great on you. What a great project to end your summer knitting with!

I LOVE your sweater. I've always really liked the cut of this pattern, but the stripes just never really did it for me. I think maybe I'll have to knit up a solid version like yours to kick off my fall knitting. Good job and thanks for the inspiration!

"hey where did that extra stitch come from? Oh well I'll just k2tog right here and then hey! We're even again!"

The sad thing is, I've totally done that while sober.
And I wonder why I have so much trouble with lace knitting!

Oh man.
When I knit my first garter stitch scarf, I came home from a long night of drinking and my drunk self thought that knitting sounded like a REALLY good idea!

I literally picked up 40 stitches. 40. Not 5, not 10...40.
Oh yeah, and there was a hole big enough for my pointer finger to poke through and say hello to whoever was on the other side.

Oh, pretty!! I love that yarn! What a great project for organic yarn Smiley

And yeah, I love how this sweater fits too. My Rusted Root is probably my favorite hand-knitted garment.

Nice work! It looks wonderful.

I love it! Awesome color choice too. The whole mod look that you're rocking in those pictures is really really great.

Thanks for the  nice thoughts, everyone. It's really the yarn that shines in this project. I had such a good experience with it that I will totally buy more bamboo yarn in the future. (Plus, this yarn smelled really nice. I kept sniffing it while knitting, like I had some kind of compulsive disorder.)

Oh wow, I'm glad I'm not the only one! I work for a contract textiles manufacturer, and we've just released a new collection with bamboo fabric. I keep smelling the samples when nobody's looking, bamboo fiber really does have a pleasant smell Smiley

That's beautiful! Did you use a pattern or did you design it yourself?

Also, I want to read more about it but I think the link to your blog is broken!

This is your first lace? WOW!!!! You did a really good job!
I've attempted this shawl MANY times and each went horribly wrong. After much crying and gnashing of the teeth, the poor thing's been packed away. I think that this has given me the courage to face my old enemy!

Lovely color choice too  Smiley
