4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / seed pod necklace no. 2 on: July 03, 2006 01:07:35 PM
I am working on this piece for a show.  The leaves are vintage mother of pearl buttons.  They were my Grandmothers, I like them on the necklace but I am not sure if I am being objective about if they truly add to the piece or just being sentimental.  I put two pictures for comparison, let me know what you think.  Thanks for the feedback.

8  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / suitcase bedside table on: June 06, 2006 04:01:07 PM
my fiance brought home this folding tray stand that a store where he works was throwing out because one of the legs was splitting.  i reapaired the crack and it just sat there for several months while i tried to come up with some sort of tray to put on top of it to make a bedside table.  then it hit me.  i bought some suitcases to stack up for storage and went a bit overboard so i had several left over and no place to stack them, unless i wanted my apartment start looking like baggage claim.  anyway i took one and it fit perfectly on the tray stand and then, NEW BEDSIDE TABLE!

9  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / record decoration on: June 06, 2006 03:51:32 PM
being poor, i am always looking for interesting inexpensive items to use for decoration.  i recently bought some records at a yard sale, since i don't have a record player and can't listen to them they just sat in a pile for a while, then i decided to use them for wall decoration.  this is what i came up with.  i thought about getting more and trying to cover an entire wall with them, but i dint really have a good wall to cover.
