21  Layered big pink hello kitty necklace in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by False_desire on: December 22, 2007 05:17:46 AM
I wanted to make a really big statement hello kitty necklace, kinda like my junk bracelets... completely packed. Anyway, I think I failed at that (maybe something to work on), but I did come up with something slightly different. This necklace started off life as a plain 16 inch chain, first I added the bottom layer of chain to it, then the one in the middle. I used the enamel butterflies to link the bottom layer of chain with the hello kitty face in the middle which I quite like. I wanted to add kawaii themed charms, thus the strawberry and the bows (I wanted to put cherries on too, but I didn't have any small pink ones left Sad ). The necklace actually hangs really well when it's on which surprised me a bit as I was expecting the weight to drag it all to the bottom. I'm not sure what else to say lol, any questions feel free to ask Smiley.

22  My cookie rainbow :oD & trinkets in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by False_desire on: November 27, 2007 11:40:02 AM
It all started when I made some fimo charms.. I wanted to make the cookies into earrings, to start with I only made enough for three pairs, but then I got the idea to make a rainbow of them. Each of them has a little transparent bow and a co-ordinating charm above (I wanted to make each of those different for some variation). If you want to see a bigger picture for the detail you can click here (recommended): http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m142/False_desire/27-11-07005.jpg they look much more impressive in real life, but it was quite difficult to get them all to face the right direction.

The other food charms I made are also fimo, I think I'm most impressed with the eclairs Cheesy. None of them were that hard to make, the biggest problem I usually have is trying to avoid getting fluff in the fimo.

23  Nintendo earrings and lots of other new stuff [img heavy] in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by False_desire on: November 14, 2007 12:06:44 PM
*Edit* Look where my bobomb earrings got featured! http://www.dsfanboy.com/2007/11/16/wear-this-bob-omb-jewelry-at-a-safe-distance/ I'm so happy I thought I'd share lol Smiley.

These bobomb earrings are the main point of the post really, but I figure I may as well show some of the other stuff I've been up to lately.

The earrings... I made them using fimo, I've made stars out of fimo before which were a complete pain, so I decided to cheat a bit and use star beads which I painted the faces on.. My bad photography/photo editing doesn't do them justice at all...

I made this http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=196077.0 first which prompted me to make more nintendo character jewellery... I have a pair of mushroom & star earrings which I wear all the time...

24  Travel journal/photo album (stolen from my sister) in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by False_desire on: November 10, 2007 02:48:55 AM
My sister made this and I thought it was really cool, so I'm posting it on her behalf. One of her friends is spending a term in Poland after christmas, anyway, my sister makes some pretty cool things with paper so her friend wanted something handmade for christmas.

(I should probably add that she didn't just decorate a blank book, she made it all from scratch from big sheets of paper)

This is what she came up with. It's a spiral bound travel journal type thing, the idea is she has one page she can put a photo on then the opposite side to write about it. The big letters throughout the book spell out Poland, each page has a tab, and the pages are sewn together at both sides. If you can see there is a little bit cut out at the top of each page, that is because they are pockets to put tickets and other little things she collects on her journey in. I think that's about it. Oh, and she is planning to decorate the front cover too (which is mountboard) at some point, I'll post a photo of it decorated once she has... The best part about the whole book is that it only cost  about 3.50 to make.

Anyway, photos....

25  Some new jewellery featuring the usual suspects... *edited* [img heavy] in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by False_desire on: November 08, 2007 08:14:09 AM
I started making these last night but didn't finish them til this morning. I was going to make a my little pony one and a care bear one too, but I didn't get around to it. Probably something to do later...I'll update the post if I do make them. I know everyone usually prefers pink hello kitty things, but when you see them in life I actually prefer the blue pin.

Okay, after saying what I did I went away and make a pink hello kitty bracelet, so much for the blue lol. Anyway, I thought it would be appropriate to add it to this post:

And more detail...

And for good measure, as it's nearly christmas, a pair of NBC earrings:

26  Rainbow brite necklace.. in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by False_desire on: November 01, 2007 10:55:37 AM
This is pretty big and eye catching, a lot of people have been seeing the stuff I've made from shrink plastic lately and wanting it which is quite cool. I have a feeling I may have to make more for my friends... the necklace itself is on a 16 inch silver plated chain which has two little yellow stars attached. I think it's roughly three inches wide, but my craft room in such a state at the moment that I can't find my ruler Undecided.

27  Like a kid in a sweet shop in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by False_desire on: November 01, 2007 09:35:56 AM
I've spent a good chunk of today making this, I wanted to make a bracelet with a sweet theme, the sweets are all made from fimo and I've added a few beads to it. It looks a lot better in real life. I started with the lollies which I've even wrapped up lol (I'm quite happy with those), there are also fried eggs, gummy hearts and little swirl sweets.

28  My little pony halloween necklace in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by False_desire on: October 27, 2007 05:31:20 PM
I'm so happy with this necklace, I'm planning on making loads of different ones. This is my first experiment with shrink plastic since I was young, my boyfriend says he won't be seen with me wearing this, but I'm obviously going to anyway Tongue (he thinks I have a my little pony obsession).

29  Jack loves Sally necklace in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by False_desire on: October 27, 2007 08:12:18 AM
I'm so glad I made this necklace... My sister gave me the kilt pin which was on an item of clothing she bought, she didn't want it and she knows I make jewellery so she gave it to me. Its been sitting around with my stuff for at least a year now. This idea came to me when I was thinking about making some 'bigger' necklaces than I usually make. I wanted to make a banner out of shrink plastic saying 'the nightmare before christmas' with holes in the bottom for me to put charms through and attach to a necklace (I'm still going to do that, my dad is picking up the plastic for me on his way home, I'm so excited).

I began thinking of things that would serve a similar purpose to the banner, being wide and stable enough to hang things from...this is where the kilt pin came in. I had to make the chain slightly shorter because the first time i tried it on it sunk into my boobs and didn't hang properly, but it looks great when it is worn high enough Cheesy (as usual my jewellery never looks as good in the photos as it does on). Anyway, this is a prototype, I'm going to make loads more different ones once the pins I've just ordered are delivered.

Wow that was a lot of rambling. Enjoy!

30  Record notebook in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by False_desire on: October 17, 2007 08:05:08 AM
I got 20 7" records from a charity shop last week for 2 with the intention of making some really cool notebooks. Here is the first of many, I can't wait til I get to make the one which will have a purple centre (it's my favourite record), I didn't want it to be my trial run one in case something went wrong & I wrecked it...

Forgive all my jewellery making stuff in the back of the picture, I'm clearly too messy for my own good Tongue.
