11  My first Fimo cookies in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by Glamis on: November 29, 2012 11:11:49 AM

I made those magnets for my parents using various you tube tutorial videos. I was quite surprise how easy to make they were.
Since we are a healthy living family I did not make anything too artificial. But I think they look yummy anyway  Grin

Thanks for looking!

12  My little Zomny unicorn in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Glamis on: November 17, 2012 02:22:19 PM
I made a zombie my little pony- a zomny
I made it for a private Mini 13 days of Halloween swap with my friend monkey_girl
I took the "My little pony" pattern somewhere on deviantart but it seems to be deleted. It didn't really fit after I printed it so I had to alter some parts and also added a horn
The body is made from some batik fabric that I though looked pretty much like rotted zombie flesh.
The hoofs are made of faux leather and the hair is from wool strands. I tried to choose colors that look faded and washed out so that it would not appear too lively.
The eyes and the brain on the butt are handpainted.

Sorry, I am a shitty photographer,
but monkey_girl loves it and so I am happy with it  Cheesy

Thank you for looking

13  Re: Personal/Private Swap Gallery, 2012 in The Swap Gallery by Glamis on: November 13, 2012 12:51:55 PM

So I did our annual private Mini 13 days of Halloween swap with monkey_girl and here are all the super items she spoilled me with:

On the 1st day:
Handmade fingerless gloves (the skull one is my favourite) and two big packs of tea. Unfortunately I don't like those teas but my brother does. His luck!

7

On the 2nd day:
Two pin cushions (one saying You're totally awesome), two cute journals, a set of 4 crosstiched skull buttons (designed by her boyfriend) and a felt needle book with another skull cross stitch on it

On the 3rd day:
Vintage Horror movie poster cards plus stamped envelopes (made with handcarved stamps)

On the 4th day:
A patchwork scarf, a little pouch with stamps already known from the envelopes from day 3 and my favourite: a heart and a brain cameo.

close up of the cameos

On the 5th day:
A knitting book ans a crossstiched bookmark. monkey_girl likes the Nostradamus best, boyfriend the Freddy and my favourite is the cymbal monkey

an army of scary monkeys (I've read the Stephen King short story)

but this tentacle is pretty cool too

just like the bookmark

On the 6th :
A brain zombie jelly mold, gummie worms to adorn the jelly brain (as you might be able to imagine they did not make it to the jelly mold premiere) and handmade potholders with awesome fabric

On the 7th day:
A handstamped little tote with bats on it an a sweet bat stuffie

close up of the stuffie. It has one red and one blue button eye

On the 8th day:
A rad cross stitch kit and accompanying chocolate

close up again

On the 9th day (boyfriend day):
He gladly received a scarf from monkey_girls boyfriends favorite soccer team plus a nice skull mug

close up of the mug so you can hopefully see it

On the 10th day:
A zombie sleeping mask, another pouch (since you can never have too many  Wink) and three different mints in cool boxes. The zombie mints have "brain flavor". Gross!

On the 11th day:
A handstamped patchwork blanket (for watching Horror movies)

close up of the motifs

On the 12th day:
A skully gingerbread man cookie cutter/stamper plus icing (cool note: my partner in the regular craftster swap made me one of these out of felt)

On the last day  Cry:
A perfect sized nightmare before christmas purse and the most awesome socks with zombies and brains on it

the sockz:

Monkey_girl, thank you so much for all the amazing stuff and a fun swap. Till next year  Cheesy

14  Alice in Zombieland poppet (lots of detail pics) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Glamis on: October 31, 2012 03:53:41 AM
I made this poppet for the Mini 13 days of Halloween swap. The challenge was to make it not to creepy because my partent rather is into cute things. I think I  failed on that.

The whole poppet

Bloomers!

I made the eyes myself by glueing wool fluff to white shank buttons

The headband. I can't believe that I forgot to make ears. Let's all believe the rotted off...

The socks (made out of a thin T-Shirt scrap) and the flats (made out of faux leather)

poseable fingers (by inserting twisted pipe pipe cleaners)

I hope my partner likes it
What do you guys think?

And Happy Birthday to Bunnie Boo!!

On the last day  Cry I received:

the most awesome cross stitch ever: A zombie Wolverine! You can even see part his adamantium skeleton sticking out of the rotted parts <3

plus the gummies I traded from boyfriend day. You can stick them together to create new flavours

On the 12th day I received:

A brain ice cube mold. How cool!

On the 11th day I received:

A fabulous felt kittie coaster inspired by my pinterest

On the 10th day I received:

An awesome felt eyeball pincushion for my collection (and it is my favourite eyecolor green  Cheesy)

front view

On the 9th day I received:

A skully ginger bread man stuffie. The bones part looks almost die cut. Even the supercritical boyfriend likes it. Finally an appropriate Christmas decoration ;-)

On the 8th day I received:

A pretty little ribbon/polymer clay skully hair clips that matched my outfit that day PERFECT.

On the 7th day my kittie received:

A bat cat toy on an elastic cord. This is way to cute to let her rip it apart so it is going on my ceiling!

On the 6th day I received:

A superneat brain hoopla. Thousands of teenytiny stitches...

On the 5th day I received:

Marshmellows. Yum!

On the 4th day my boyfriend received:

3 bottle cap magnet with maps on it (he said they are nifty) plus gummies (he doesn't like gummies so I traded them for a bag of chocolate ball that where attached to my last day package..)

On the 3rd day I received:

An altoid filled with Voodoo pins! That cracked me up  Cheesy Plus:I just broke my plastic pin box...
Now off to make dolls of my least favourite people  Wink

and a side view where you can see how the bottom is decorated:

On the 2nd day I received:

two handpainted bookmarks (always in desperate need of those + I like to receive nice artwork) and chocolate
Side story: My partner stuck little pieces of chocolate to every packages. Boyfriend claimed one and put it on his night table for a morning treat. Next morning it was gone an we found us and our bed covered in chocolate. We suspect our cat to be involved in that incident...

On the 1st day I received:

A cute trick or treat bag and glow bands in my favourite color!

My box:

16  Re: one tiny zombie thing: the gallery!!! in The Swap Gallery by Glamis on: July 28, 2012 08:49:45 AM

You've got red  on you...

I received a Shaun of the dead needlebook from javede! Now I can sort my sewing and my embroidery needles into different ones. I think it is made from real wool felt because my kitty keeps steeling it and dragging it through the house like a prey. Stupid thing. She also sent some fabric (in the backround) that will make some really "cool zombie" skin for puppets and stuffies.

Thank you girl with the awesome middle name (it the same as my first name  Cheesy)

17  Re: Insect Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Glamis on: July 19, 2012 11:35:30 AM

I received a fabulous package from sewphie!

First this cute card with an embroidered dragonfly (that I am going to peel off and frame) in my favourite color. Looks like she used some kind of multicolored thread but I think she didn't. It is just two different colors..

her first stitched necklace with a cutie ladybug at the closure. It is a leaf. But maybe it is one of those insects that just mimicry  a leaf..  Grin

And what is that pink fabric wrapped item?

An awesome stumpwork butterfly box! (And I love it even trough it is not usefull. It is useful to look at it and enjoy it  Wink ) And isnīt the name hilarious  Cheesy

look how tiny the butterfly is, compared to my finger. I have now idea how is is possible to embroider something like this. I am in awe  Shocked

I also got a embroidered cushion that totally fits my "in the woods" themed living room! And bf loves it too.

Here is a compilation of all the bugs that are embroidered on it. Sewphie likes the stag beetle the most but my favourite is the earwig (they are called "ear pinchers" in Germany and all the little kids are afraid of them because of the name)

And I also got a bunch of extras: A butterfly notepad, a giant plastic stag beetle, a pretty little book called: Butterflies, moths and other insects and some skull beads (that I collect) plus yummy candy (not pictured) that already found a good new home in my tummy  Wink

At that point I felt really bad for not including extras in my package but there was really nothing pretty available around here and I did not want to send crap. Sewphie, hope you receive soon  and like your package as much as I like mine

18  Re: Felt Badge Round 2 Gallery!! (Send Out July 9) in The Swap Gallery by Glamis on: July 19, 2012 08:56:09 AM
I received from faux_valentine!

She made me a needle felted butterfly and a ...hm..my first thought was a giraffe but now I think it rather looks like a lama. My bf thinks it is a donkey..(I have no idea what kind of donkeys he saw before..)
Maybe it is just a mythical creature..

Anyways. Thank you faux_valentine  Cheesy

I received from sewphie today! Since we are also paired in the insect swap she made me two fabulous boxed beetle badges (<3 alliterations ;-))

A blue longhorn beetle (even made with iridescent thread!) and a Goliath beetle. They are supertiny, the whole badge is only 6,5 cm long each

Thanks a bunch sewphie and hope you get your badges soon!

Thank you UntouchableFace for being so sweet to make me a replacement and it really sucks that the first one got lost  Angry
