I am part of the "50 in 2011" craft challenge and this was one of my projects, a wedding gift for a co-worker

I'm glad I finished it because I still have to stretch it and put it in a frame. I like to mix hand made gifts and purchased gifts for certain people who I know will appreciate and love a crafted gift. A co-worker/friend of mine is 20, she is getting married August 06 and her and her bf are both Christian and so this is also the first time they will be living together (and away from their parents). I know that they both love the show "The Big Bang Theory" so I thought I'd make something for their first home together.

I also have to snicker at the dirty dirty pun of "it all started with a big bang" for their wedding present lol

The pattern is from Weelittlestitches on etsy. The patterns are hillarious and awesome.

Finished one last night!

29. Make a wedding gift for my co-worker

Love it, I used to watch this all the time when I was clearly over the target demographic for the show lol, it was super cute and I haven't thought about it in years. Well Done!

WOW that growth chart is beautiful!!

I finished a little project today
Wasn't hard, it was more finding the motivation to go get the stuff and hall it up to our condo

12.Make a little herb garden for our deck (I dont know if that's really "crafty")

now I just need my dad to make me a little corner table for our deck so they don't have to be on the ground.
I put the Rosemary in a pot all on it's own as it was a much bigger plant to start out with.
I also want to make some cute labels but I haven't decided what kind to make yet

Thanks! The paint is actually a slate grey but it totally has a blue tone too it. I was a little scared to paint it that dark but I love it now.

Thanks for the compliments on the hat everyone! I'm pretty confident that she'll love it!
40  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Getting Better! Monkey and Gnome hats on: June 20, 2011 06:47:02 PM
I recently started learning how to crochet things other than granny squares and scarves. I have a co-worker who is pregnant and her baby shower is this friday, she knew I was going to be making her some stuff because it is common knowledge at my work that I craft ALOT and people can generally expect hand crafted gifts for special occasions.

She knew I'd be embroidering her some onesies because she specifically asked as she had seen the ones I had done for my sister lol (I ended up doing 3 for her)

But I thought I'd make her some hats too. So I thought "this is as good of a time if any to try some patterns"
I ended up making her these two as well as a simple newborn cap in white

I'm very happy with how they turned out and I'm pretty confident that she'll like them as well  Smiley
