EVERYONE NEEDS TO STOP HAVING BABIES BECAUSE MY HAND IS STARTING TO CRAMP!!!!!!!

 Grin

So everyone I know is having babies so I've been busy like a bee. Here are some of the lovely little hats that have come out of the madness (as you can see most of the requests have been for little owl hats)

7  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Dog Portrait Onesie on: March 18, 2012 03:10:07 PM
My cousin is pregnant and the first thing people ask me for when they find out they are pregnant is an embroidered onesie (this started when I made 6 for my sister when she was pregnant with my niece).

It's always harder when you don't know the sex of the baby.
My cousin and her husband have 2 dogs; an American Bulldog and a Chocolate Lab.

This is my first attempt and embroidering any type of realistic picture (normally it's more cartoony type stuff) but it turned out pretty well. It did stretch out a little on the Bulldog face but very minor. Any of you that embroider on baby onesies know, it's friggin hard to get it not to pucker or pull lol. Also the wording and heart look kinda wonky in the picture but in person they are straight.

So here it is....

Nice!  A welcomed gift for sure!

Are the bands topstitched over the pleated parts?  I thought I saw a tutorial on this in purses but I can't seem to find it!

Dawnstrees--that is a pretty awesome Christmas tree on your profile pics...made from book pages?  I need to look that one up...I love it!  Maybe I saw it on another thread...not sure, but it is something I have always wanted to do!

The tut was from noodlehead. the band was sewn on before the purse was sewn together.

One for his mom, one for his nana, and one for each of his sisters.

Love the hoopla! Very pretty.

I like the idea of maybe doing it in chunks of 3 month periods. I like having the lists mixed in with pictures mixed in with chatter. It flows nice.

Silvermoon no bragging that it's too hot where you live, we had our first snow fall last night (a decent size) and I am none to pleased about it  Undecided
