Very cool... and to hopefully set your mind at ease... usually the seal around the bottom that attaches to the actual plumbing and what not is made of this gooey brown waxy stuff... so that's probably what you ran into there.... I hope...

This is lovey photograph in theory... but am I the only one who's even a little creeped out by the image of small boy holding razor?  I understand you gave him fake one but.... it kinda gives me the shivers.  I do understand what you were goin for... little kids emulating their parents to usually look pretty cute but this one kinda leaves me cold...

I also love the third image the best... He's so soft and warm looking... very endearing.  Beautiful work... you've got a lot of raw talent to work with.

Silverstein... what a great person to draw inspiration from... I think he would have loved this website... beautiful work!

Could you possibly use some type of spandex so that it'll stretch over different sizes of book?  This might not work for softcover but I bet it would for hardcovers...  BTW I've seen these at craftshows and they charge an arm and a leg... it's great that you posted this for everyones use!

Maybe you could use a metal eyelet next time for the hanging hole...  the kind you can buy in the craft store.  If anyone isn't familiar with them they are little metal cylindars that require a special tool to crush down so they can hold open a hole in fabric... like the eyelets for shoelaces... anyhooo... it might be worth a shot!
57  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / Re: If you are a pirate, help. on: June 27, 2006 09:23:56 AM
I'm thinking big fold-top boots, billowy lowslung pans and a wide leather belt.  Instead of boots maybe you could bind the pant legs around your calves and wears some leathr sandals.

59  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Re: fake dog (or cat) poo! on: June 02, 2006 09:53:19 PM
another suggestion, along the same craft show vein, would be to make them into hide-a-keys... fun and funtional... who's gonna check under the steaming pile of alpo to see if there's a key there?!

I'm sorry... I don't have the patience to check all the posts on this thread so I don't know if someone has already suggested it or not but I'll give it a shot anyway...

I can honestly see something like this selling reasonably well at a big craft show.  Crafters and the types of people that frequent these events very often have a fun or quirky sense of humor and fake poo might easily appeal to them.  They'd make a great (again) gag or novelty item.

Unfortunately the booths are quite expensive to rent so you might be able to sell them to a crafter at wholesale and they could "resell" them.  You'd both get a profit!
