2  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / a bit of everything! & more! on: February 01, 2011 03:34:34 PM
So, I've done quite a lot of swap art recently, and other art from way back in high school and on my days off through boredom, and i've decided i should share more with everyone Tongue

this one is a batik i did when i was 14, can't believe it's 9 years since then and it has barely faded!!

A collage painting on canvas fabric i made for sloth003 Smiley

mixed media/collage based on the weather at the time for sloth003 again Cheesy

cephalopods i made for Sylvanna Smiley

a photograph from back when it was quite rare to get much snow here (i enjoyed it before this december Tongue)

These are prints i did at art college, the first was done in layers, the second was an experiment with not removing all the cleaning solution from my block, and the third i made the other way around, i only realised after i'd put it through the print roller that it looks like a spooky face!
Also I think print one and two are signs of how much i am infact Farscape obsessed, i realised (again after i'd made them) that the first is kinda similar to the Peacekeeper symbol, and the colouring and pattern in two is like an abstract Zhaan! Tongue

Hope you all like them Smiley
3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / embroideries from under the sea (and over too) on: January 28, 2011 07:31:08 AM
These are all embroideries i've done for recent swaps i've been in Smiley it's a happy coincidence that 3 of them are cephalopod based Wink

My favourite i made, rubber duck vs. squid! fun idea i based on the classic squid/ship scene, rubber ducks are awesome and my partner loves them so it was easy to design

the only one i didn't design myself, got the outline design from http://corvustristis.livejournal.com/?skip=5&tag=embroidery%20patterns

lyrics from a song by Joanna Newsom

owl on a heart knotted tree, i used blue pastel for the background and i liked how it turned out

and finally a cute little baby octopus Smiley

Hope you all enjoy Cheesy
4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Eclectic mixed bag -pic squishy- on: November 19, 2010 05:16:16 PM
It's about time i actually made my own post, i've made so much stuff for swaps and family and i never post any of it.
Anyway, most of this was made for the cephalopod swap or the headband swap! Hope you guys like them all Cheesy

An octopus necklace and sushi octopus necklace Smiley both polymer clay Cheesy

tentacle earrings and an Octopire plushie brooch pin Cheesy

All the different headbands i've been making, the hairclip was a commission my sister demanded i made her Wink

And my very nicest tree of life pendant, i've made quite a lot as presents for family and friends, but i'm most proud of this one that belongs to Sloth003 now Cheesy

Hope you all like everything!! Smiley
5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / sock zombie squirrel/kitty :P brainsss catnippp on: May 27, 2009 11:11:51 AM
It was my brothers 19th birthday this week, and at about 12pm on the day i decided i'd make him a squirrel as he has a wierd obsession with them Grin

I only had green new socks, so i figured he loves zombies too, zombie squirrel Tongue but then i couldn't get the nose quite right, so it's a mutant hybrid between a squirrel and kitty to me. My brother is defiant it can only be a squirrel lol!

Squirrely tail kinda Tongue

Fresh brainnnssssssss  Cool

Protruding ribs! Grin

The entire thing was fairly rushed (like i said, started at 12pm on the day it was for Wink) but even still most of the bad stitching is intentional Cheesy for that authentic decaying effect   Roll Eyes
Hope you guys like it! I haven't really made anything and posted it on craftster for a while except swap...Tongue
6  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Thor (Stargate, first stencil of mine ever) on: June 20, 2006 03:19:20 PM

It was just a basic stencil with card and acrylic, it's drying now, so i've yet to iron it Smiley

Any thoughts/ideas are great  Cheesy
