1  The Beast: Simplicity 3878 Prom Dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Mandalu on: June 10, 2007 03:03:30 PM
For my senior project, I chose to make my prom dress. I figured, hey, at least I'll get something out of senior project instead of just a healthy serving of wanting to die. It still was really frustrating (tank tops made by using patterns were my main forte before starting this), but I was pretty happy.

EraVera also happens to be one of my best friends so you may have seen her/me already! We went on a picnic beforehand cause we're cheap and thought it would be fun. And it was!

Me looking mighty fine the minute I was done with it...

Awkward? I got the worst tshirt sunburn known to man the day before prom happened. Of course, the weather was the hottest of the year the weekend of prom.

Thanks for looking!

2  Redwalls bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Mandalu on: February 05, 2006 12:53:55 AM

This bag was a Christmas gift for someone that liked The Redwalls, obviously. I took my inspiration from the Universal Blues CD cover (this wasn't stencilled, I just printed out the cover and freehanded it from there) and found a red tote at JoAnn's and got white fabric paint to paint the band name upon it. As a final touch, I made a tshirt-weight fabric flower with a sort of ribbon trailing to the back of the bag and tied into a bow.

Sorry for the crappy picture quality, these were taken as an afterthought at 11pm the night before I gave it to her.
