Usually for an applique, a wide, closely spaced zigzag stitch is used over the edge of the applique, completely covering the edges and keeping them from fraying while at the same time attaching it to the fabric. 

Ah okay. But for my bow i have 3 different fabrics.
What should i use?

heres an example of what i mean.


All the colors which are the same are the same fabric. So the pink parts are the same fabric. The black bits are different fabric to the pink but same as each other...etc.
I need to make it look like a whole peice.

Okay i found this really cheap kinda button maker i really want to make fabric buttons so i dont know if this will work.
