But anyway, let's not be boring. Today I'm gonna show you how to make stickers without having to make anything or buy sticker paper or any of that junk. Let's get started.
Step 1: The Paper
Okay, first we're gonna need the paper that we'll draw our design on. I used a shipping label. You can get these for free, and so craftster doesn't get in trouble I can't tell you how. Let me just say that pretty much all major shipping companies give these away. You can order them online. Google it, mannnn.*
Ahem. Use a spare one or something. Yea. Totally.
*I do not (and craftster does not) condone the wasting of mailing materials just to make stickers. Lawlllll. I do, however, condone making awesome viking helmet and moustache stickers.
Step 2: Supplies!
It's time to get started. Let's gather all the supplies we're going to need.
- Shipping Label
- Exacto (or scissors)
- Colored Pencils and/or Sharpies
Step 3: Draw!
Now it's time to draw what you want. No, seriously. Whatever you want! Go ahead!
After you draw you can color it in if you want to. This is where the colored pencils and sharpies come in.
Either works, but sharpie generally makes it so you can't see the words "priority mail" in the background of the sticker. So that's a plus. The downside of sharpies is they tend to bleed if you don't draw your line fast enough. Example:
As you can see, I drew the second line too slow and it bled. Test it out before you do it on a sticker you're really attached to.
Step 4: Cut!
You get the idea.
Step 4: Stick!
Heyyyy! You're done. Fantastic. Admire your work and then find a place to stick 'em.
Side Note: I have no idea if these would work with a printer, but it seems like they would.
Let me know if you have any tips or questions or anything. Yes, I know the lighting in the pictures is bad. Sorry.
