1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Tacky dress into Pretty Vacant vest! on: November 25, 2008 02:25:08 AM
A project from a while back:

A kinda tacky denim zip-up dress I bought in an outlet store and turned into a vest with a 'Pretty Vacant' design on the back.

Here's the closest thing I could get to a shot of the dress:

And afterwards:

Ouch. For the record, I've actually lost weight since that photo was taken.

2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects / Cereza Bomba again ... with a Misfits shirt! on: November 23, 2008 04:10:00 AM
Pretty shirt for second-hand.
Misfits logo.

3  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects / Le Tigre jacket on: November 21, 2008 11:17:37 AM
If anybody knows/likes the riot grrrl band Le Tigre, here's a jacket onto which I transferred their logo.

Drew out the band logo.

Ironed it onto a purple zebra print jacket I picked up.

Sorry for the shitty quality of the pix.

Is the iron-on board dead, or what?!

4  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Dead gangster's moll and Edward Scissorhands. on: November 01, 2008 03:20:11 PM
I went as a dead gangster's moll. The bullet hole in the head is meant to indicate that she was a rat.

My boyfriend was a disco-loving porn zombie. Oh, behave!

Annnd Edward Scissorhands!

5  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects / Wearing my heart on my sleeve ... Tank Girl hoodie on: September 12, 2008 09:59:36 AM
Trying inkjet film for dark fabrics, which I hadn't used before. I added Tanky's face to a plain black hoodie.

But whenever I transferred it, Tanky's face couldn't be photographed right! It kept coming out overexposed. A couple of efforts to see what the hoodie looked like:

Close but no luck. Ah well Tongue
6  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects / Distillerrrrs! on: August 31, 2008 02:52:19 PM
It's been a while since I posted with any actual projects, so here goes.

I've made a Distillers shirt using the logo, which I stencilled onto inkjet paper. and transferred onto a grey vest top.

Resulllt:

The shirt on me:

Oh yes.
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Zebra print and red ribbons! on: May 05, 2008 03:46:38 PM

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Bikini Kill hoodie gets the grrrls. on: November 09, 2007 01:56:28 PM
I added the band name, a red heart and some leopard print to a black and pink hoodie.

Course, I placed the message too high, which means when I have the hood down, it simply says "KILL". Oops.

9  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Real horrorshow Alex DeLarge costume. on: November 02, 2007 01:29:44 PM
I went as Alex for Halloween.

First I made a miniskirt out of a larger thriftstore skirt and inked words in Nadsat all over it:

Make-up:

Outfit:

Skirt modeled:

I got these eyeballs to hot-glue onto the cuffs with blood:

Horrorshow.
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Epoxies shirt on: September 28, 2007 02:17:13 PM

It might be a hoodie someday.
