I've been crocheting for about a year, but I wasn't sure I was quite ready for the monotony of a scarf.(I'm more of a instant gratification crocheter! ) But after awhile my first scarf began to finally come together...




~The Tute~

Ch 22

Foundation row: Dc into tenth ch from hook, *ch 3, skip next 3 ch, dc into next ch. Repeat from* across. Ch 5, turn.

Row 1: *Sc into next ch-3 space, ch 2, dc into next dc, ch 2, dc into third ch of turning ch. Ch 6, turn.

Row 2: Skip first dc, *dc into next dc, ch 3. Repeat from* across, ending with dc into third ch of turning ch. Ch 5, turn.

Repeat rows 1 and 2 for patt until piece measures approx 60" from beginning, ending after Row 2 of patt

I just really started knitting and this was my first project!!!! (I'm so proud!) I made this cute little coin purse with a little fire truck button on it!!!



And the inside...

These are my newspaper and magazine flowers. I followed the instructions, but they just didn't turn out right at first. But, after many hours of toil, they finally came out right!!! the floral tape I used wasn't working and that added to the trouble. I made three-- two were made from an urban outfitters catalog and the other was made of newspaper.

She's an awesome friend, but shes really hard to shop for so I decided that this year I'd make her something this year.

IDEAS, PLEASE!!!

This is my Journal!!!! The covers are made of watercolor paper which is kinda like cardstock. I painted and stamped them and wove them together!!!!!!!!!
Then, I added quotes to the inside on pieces of paper that I bound in between the covers.

I saw this idea in a Teen Vogue once and I was like, "I have to make one of those!!!" So I did! This is the 2nd one I made, but it's got before and after pics..........
BEFORE: a boring old sweater that was about to be donated, but I couldn't let my mom part with it just yet...


AFTER: I added some colorful buttons and whacked off the sleeves, and sha-zam! A new sweater!


I actually like this one better...It was my first one but it didn't have a before pic.....

OK, so maybe it's not quite COMPLETE, but I was too excited!
I started this like 3 years ago! (I know, shame on me) but It's so pretty It makes my bedroom happy to be in its presence!



I love it! I've just saved all of these old magazines...
I've even put all of my ages while I've been doing it on there, so if you look, you'll see a 10, 11, 12, and 13!!!

These are my new favorite pair of earrings! I had these chain links from an old neclace and some cute vintage-y buttons, so I made these!!!!!!!!!!
