that was my first knitting project too!  But yours came out way better than mine.  Mine was all bumpy & way too big for a mini coin purse.

I've been crocheting for about a year, but I wasn't sure I was quite ready for the monotony of a scarf.(I'm more of a instant gratification crocheter! Smiley) But after awhile my first scarf began to finally come together...




~The Tute~

Ch 22

Foundation row: Dc into tenth ch from hook, *ch 3, skip next 3 ch, dc into next ch. Repeat from* across. Ch 5, turn.

Row 1: *Sc into next ch-3 space, ch 2, dc into next dc, ch 2, dc into third ch of turning ch. Ch 6, turn.

Row 2: Skip first dc, *dc into next dc, ch 3. Repeat from* across, ending with dc into third ch of turning ch. Ch 5, turn.

Repeat rows 1 and 2 for patt until piece measures approx 60" from beginning, ending after Row 2 of patt

I just really started knitting and this was my first project!!!! (I'm so proud!) I made this cute little coin purse with a little fire truck button on it!!!

These are my newspaper and magazine flowers. I followed the instructions, but they just didn't turn out right at first. But, after many hours of toil, they finally came out right!!! the floral tape I used wasn't working and that added to the trouble. I made three-- two were made from an urban outfitters catalog and the other was made of newspaper. Grin

~Has obsessions w/ Titanic, Little People Big World, penguins, Abercrombie
~ she can knit so it wouldn't be cool to make something she can make herself!
~She's a really good dancer
~Likes mod, trendy stuff
~She just got a room redo so maybe something for her room? The colors are hot pink, lime green, and bright orange
~She likes manicures & spa stuff

She's an awesome friend, but shes really hard to shop for so I decided that this year I'd make her something this year.

I like the idea of a beanie or a duct tape wallet... maybe mix cd of favorite songs? Huh OR like my guy friend plays guitar in a band and he has one of those guitar pick necklaces which you could easily make yourself...
