ahh! I'm currently living in Seattle, WA, and going to be moving to Grand Rapids the last week of June. I have never actually been to the area, and have been googling my heart and soul out trying to find where it is the crafts are hidden in Grand Rapids (and, well, Michigan really). And after about a week of googling I was just sitting here sewing a potholder and it struck me to look on here, and alas, there ARE people in Grand Rapids! What a relief.
Anyhow, since I've never actually been to Grand Rapids (or...well...Michigan...) I don't know anyone, either. So if anyone is up for getting to know each other, Or telling me about any crafty meet ups that may be happening that aren't mentioned in this thread or telling me about anything crafty in Grand Rapids and surrounding areas or just talking about crafts in general...Or talking about anything really, feel free to PM me or anything.

I feel like I should introduce myself a little bit, but I don't know if that's appropriate? I sew a lot. I have knitting supplies but haven't actually learned to knit yet, I know a little crochet. I do a little beading, and have been working with paper crafts a bit lately, I like to quill but haven't actually met anyone else who does. I'm moving out to Michigan with my fiance (who used to live there) and our cat Chloe who likes to jump in my lap while I'm sewing (and on more than one occasion has jumped on top of an item with pins in it that got in her paw Sad ...) and our hamster Kaylee (yup, named after the firefly charachter...)

Anyhow, sorry this is kind of a long reply.... if this is inappropriate feel free to tell me...
