11  Vest-ish pattern? in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by shewilldieyoung. on: November 04, 2006 10:42:23 PM
I'm looking for a pattern for a vest-ish garment sort of like this...

but i want it to only come up to under the bust area. Ive seen them in magazines a lot on people like Lindsay Lohan but I can't find a picture of one now (of course!  Roll Eyes)

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

My partner, mpicky, said she recieved her tote bag that I made her so I thought I would post a couple pictures that I took of it before sending.

It's a big tote bag/purse.. It's made from a really cool looking red and white print. I'm not really sure what the print is of....maybe weird shaped leaves or something? Idk. I just thought it looked fun. The straps are polka dot ribbon (that kind they use for belts) and the inside is just plain red, nothing fancy there.  Wink

Annnddd here are some pictures of me modeling it in my messy messy room.
Click to see the full size.

Sorry the pictures are pretty grainy, cheap camera  Tongue

I recieved my lovely package from my awesome partner kittenbonanza today!
Here are some pics (they're not very good so I know kittenbonanza can post some better ones for you..)

3 pairs of earrings and a matching ring

A bag with a picture from The Breakfast Club (one of my favorite movies!)

And my favorite thing that she made me....a painting for my wall! It's completely lovely and sooo perfect and exactly what I have been wanting! I was soooooo excited when I opened up my package and saw a little canvas in there! It's soo good!

Thank you so much! I love everything!

15  Contact Paper? in What the heck can I do with THIS? by shewilldieyoung. on: July 15, 2006 09:34:07 PM
Okay I was at this store yesterday and it's kindof one of those dollar stores where they just have a bunch of random stuff so there was this box full of rolls of contact paper** and they had it in ZEBRA PRINT and I'm totally obsessed with zebra print right now but I have absolutely no idea what to do with it... So I didn't get it but I've been thinking about it all day so I'm going to go back and get some...but what should I do with it once I have it?!?  Huh

** i think it's called contact paper...it's like kindof vinyl-ish on the top and it has a peel-off backing so it sticks to whatever you stick it to, i think people use to use it to stick to the bottom of drawers and cabinets and stuff? maybe? here's a picture of what I'm talking about...

16  Re: tissue paper envelopes *Tutorial added* in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by shewilldieyoung. on: May 19, 2006 03:21:35 PM
I was so excited when I saw these that I got all my supplies together today and made some! I did two sizes, the business sized envelope and then the smaller one (correspondence sized? i think thats what it's called..) Anyway I think my tissue paper must be smaller than yours because I could only get 2 business sized out of a sheet of tissue paper OR three of the smaller size. Maybe I'm just not placing them in the most efficient way? Either way here they are:

That's one of each of the colors I did. The colors are a bit different (sorry for the bad pictures!) but there are 2 fuchsia colored ones, an aqua blue one, a purple/periwinkle colored one, and (my favorite) the lime green!

There's a close up of the back of one of the smaller envelopes.

There's a close up of the front of one of the larger envelopes.

Thanks so much for the tutorial! My older sister saw them and love them so much that she's having me make them for the invitations for her graduation (from high school!) party! I better get to work!
