1  Jute end table tops in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by brunette42754 on: September 18, 2007 09:40:20 PM
Long time stalker, first time poster.  I am so glad I found craftster!!!  There are so many amazingly talented people on here!

These tables were a freebie.  I think someone made these a long time ago.  The finish was awful and they even kind of smelled bad.  The table tops were a piece of sheet rock!  I thought they were the perfect height for my sofa so I let my inner craftster out.  I sanded and painted the tables a Java bean color.  I added new handles since the old ones were broken.  I don't have the talent to mosaic (yet), so I found this jute string at my local craft store and glued it into the inset where I removed the smelly sheet rock.  I placed a glass gem in the middle to coordinate with my room colors.  I forgot to take a good before pic.
