1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / FALLS! (kinda) on: July 26, 2006 09:10:27 PM
So, a little back story- i have short hair, and Ive always wanted dreads but im too stubborn to grow my hair back.  And normal falls wont work because I dont have enough hair for a pony tail or pig tails.

Now, in about 2 weeks i am having a rocky horror party (thats a whole different thread entirely) and I was completely lost when it came to my hair.  I could always faux hawk it, but ive done that before.  then i had a stroke of genius.  well maybe not genius, but i felt pretty creative.  so one headband, a half a ball of yarn, and about 12 glue gun burns later- i have falls!  actually, i dont know if they're considered falls... whatever it is... i love it.  they make me feel like a completely different person, which is important when i put my rocky horror costume on ( i'll post those pictures after the party).  any enough with my gabbing...

oh so happy with my hair

and just for fun:
let there be lips!

(those are mine btw)

hope you like it!

ps. wearing it in a ponytail is the only way it covers my hair. maybe i'll post pictures of it off my head later, but i'm wearing it right now and too tired to take it off.   Grin
2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Rent Stencil! on: March 09, 2005 04:11:55 PM
So i dont remember where i got this stencil... but i LOVE it...
i've already used it several times but i thought my apron for work needed some spiffing up... ok, alot of spiffing... spiffing's a funny work... spiff...
anyway... so, working at a craft store we are allowed to be... well, artistic with our aprons... those damn red horrid scraps of fabric... Angry
but now its pretty! Grin
and i wear it with pride! Cool

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / New Kids on the Block Skirt! on: November 08, 2004 08:12:04 PM
this was a pretty simple skirt.  well.  i wouldnt know.  i made my mom make it.  she has yet to show me how to use the sewing machine.  damn her!  anyway.
this was a sheet i bought at Goodwill for 3 bucks.  i saw it and nearly had a hissy fit.  yes, im alittle to young to actually be a true fan of New Kids, but anything 80'S like this sends me into caniptions.  so woot.

this is me in the skirt-

its a wrap skirt so this is the skirt all laid out on my messy messy floor

and this is a close up of the totally tubular sheet

(if this actually works i will be so freakin happy.  im better at this crafty thing than i am at this  computor thing)

oh oh ohhhhh oh oh ohhhhhhhh oh oh ohhhhhhh THE RIGHT STUFF!
