Hullo Ladies, thought I'd post my new Gerald Puppet in an effort to visit this fine forum more often and also just cause everyone loves puppets.
This is my updated version of my Gerald puppet, as seen in this thread
. Updated and improved a lot of things I have learned about puppet making, and he was getting worn out due to my..umm, relaxed attitude toward storing him, ie; throwing him on my bedroom floor.
I made a proper sculpted foam skull for him and gave him an improved eyeblink. The angle of his eyelids was a pain in the arse to do the mech, but after three or four attempts I ended up with a comfy reliable mech.
Wire skeleton in the hands for posability, and removable arm rods.
The hand grips inside the head are covered with leather for comfort and also cause the hand tends to sweat a bit inside a foam head covered with fake fur, so those offcuts of leather I nicked from a bin where I used to work, came in very handy..so to speak.
Few more pics of the process Here
