2  Cheshire Cat Coffee Cuff in Needlework: Completed Projects by Ren on: August 02, 2008 06:39:00 AM
My latest coffee cuff features the Cheshire Cat! The colours are a little washed out, they are far more vibrant in person. It took me a while to draft the pattern for this up, but once I started I was so happy with it. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do:

And of course, I had to add the White Rabbit buttons again. I need to find more of these beautiful little things!

Thank you for looking.

That brooch is too cute! And that painting is amazing, I love 20's style artwork!

And as Joy's been a little busy lately she gave me permission to post up that things I sent her. :3

This is the package in all its glory. As the treat I got her some Lush solid perfume, it smells beautiful!

Many of you may have already seen this on the forums, but this is a coffee cuff I made. It has Alice in Wonderland embroidered on it. I love Alice, and luckily Joy does too (we were talking about it through messages) and I also love bunnies, so it was perfect. This ties in with her likes as I noticed she likes to write and who can write without fuel? The embroidery took just about 2 and a half hours and the piecing together about an hour.

This is a tissue holder. She's been ill a while and I made this so she's never going to be without a tissue again. Plus I love Russian Nesting Dolls so it perfectly ties in with my likes too.

4  Atisu~! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Ren on: July 11, 2008 03:41:03 PM
Just a simple Russian Doll tissue holder I made for a swap. I love how I managed to have matching canvas ribbon. I'm definitely going to make more of these!

Yay for sneezing if I can make such cute things as this. :3

5  White Rabbit Coffee Cuff in Needlework: Completed Projects by Ren on: July 11, 2008 03:36:19 PM
This coffee cuff was from a recent swap. I'm so proud of my needlework on this, especially as it's only my early work. I want to make more of these!

I managed to find these amazing rabbit buttons, how could I resist?

6  Re: The Mini Me Swap! sign ups 1st - 14th June, send outs 7th July in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by Ren on: June 04, 2008 11:20:30 AM
Miss Jpop, that is horrible! D: I hate when that happens, it does make you feel down.

When I get particularly down I grab my sketch book and draw little cartoon bunnies. Oops. Haha.

I apologise for my drawing. :3

7  Re: Fairy tales, Folklore & Fairies gallery of gorgeousness! in The Swap Gallery by Ren on: April 30, 2008 08:14:50 AM
The pictures are late, but was trying to get some decent light to take them. This is what I got from faerykisses:

2 Journals that are adorned with Labyrinth goodness. I love the worm. <3

A set of adorable Pan's Labyrinth magnets, which I'll be sure to stick on my fridge soon!

A beautiful faery doll. She has amazing detail, especially in the hair with the flowers, and I loved the leaf dress! No names as of yet as I'm still pondering, ideas?

This bag is beautiful, my photos haven't done it justice. Really lovely.

Everything was wrapped up in purple tissue paper with little fairy stickers to hold it all in place. It made me smile. :]

8  'A Little Fairy Dust' Market Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Ren on: April 25, 2008 03:42:53 PM
I made this bag for the recent Fairytales and Folklore Swap. I had fun making it and most certainly wanted to keep it for myself!

The only thing I regret is not being able to take a full view picture of the bag. I'll see if I can snag one from my partner.

My partner said I could go and upload pictures of what I sent her, so here's the loot:

Small

This was a little plush fairy I decided to make after finding one of the small bottles I had stashed away in one of the many crafting drawers upstairs. I couldn't pass it up when I thought of how sweet I could make her.

I did a set of blank cards for faerykisses, as it was one of the things she'd put down in her questionnaire and decided it was the perfect opportunity for a custom stamp, which led on to inspire the large. I kept things quite minimal. Quite like a fairy that has stepped in ink and walked over the page!

Brian Froud mini-book. I love making star books, so I decided to incorporate my love of journal-making into this swap. I thought the illustration was fitting.

Medium

No pictures of the soap itself, as I was eager to wrap it! Kind of pearly-ish soap, with floral scents. First time making soap and it was a little tricky, I went disastrously wrong several times, hence why it is now a medium. I was quite pleased with the final result.

This scarf was the first project I made on my new sewing machine. I embellished the floral patterned fabric with embroidery of a toadstool and some flowers which I made from yo-yo's. I was proud of my chain-stitch on this one.

Large

The large was a black and white polka-dot 'market style' bag. It's large, rounded at the bottom and has a pocket on the inside for storing your purse or mobile, etc. I embroidered fairy footprints onto the bottom with shiny silver embroidery floss. That stuff does not like staying together, I swear. I REALLY wanted to keep this bag, it was exactly what I needed, haha. No pictures of the bag in full, 'cause I had to accommodate for the sun to get good pictures. Maybe faerykisses could upload an action shot at some point?

Loved this swap.
