What a cute little guy!  He looks like the Chinese flag, hehe.

Thanks everyone Smiley my bf pointed out after I finished it that it looks like the wife of the cyclops from Monsters Inc, maybe.
23  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Cyclops with a flower hat on: March 24, 2009 07:59:24 AM
The first in a series of knitted gifts for my soon-to-be niece, due in August.   I thought about making her a bear, but somehow when I was working on it, it turned into a cyclops.  That sort of thing just happens sometimes.

Close up of the flower hat:

Current task is to make it some brothers and sisters (I wouldn't be a good auntie if I didn't spoil my niece from the day she is born), and to come up with a backstory for the creature.  I kind of want to give it a proper taxonomy name, like "cyclops amaranthus" (purple cyclops) or something along those lines.  Any suggestions?

I love this!  I was planning on doing something like this for my niece, due in August and as of yet nameless.   Yours turned out lovely and I like the idea of the contrasting patterned fabrics.

What a great idea!  Nothing says it couldn't be a veggie burger if you wanted. Smiley

Agreed, these are way cuter and more cuddly looking than the official Cabbage Patch dolls!  Maybe you could call them..."lettuce head" dolls?  "pumpkin patch"?

Thank you Smiley good idea about the papers, maybe I should start putting skeins of nice yarn on the sofa.

These are gorgeous! I'd buy one if you put them up on an etsy, as I am a poor crocheter and your stitches look professional!
