i got the fabric at joanne's on clearance, tucked away in a dusty corner. i rescued the crabs, and now they're smiling again. here's the picture of the top, after i fixed the straps. please excuse the dirty mirror. i need to do some cleaning. hehe.

2  my first dress (i <3 stretchy fabric!!!) in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by emiwcch on: June 15, 2006 10:14:25 AM
i knew i had to make xxboheme's dress when i saw it. so i went out shopping for stretchy fabric (to avoid zippers and buttons!!) and i found this lovely crab fabric. the fabric cutting lady laughed at my choice of fabric. she said nobody had bought that fabric for months. and then she giggled. i did not appreciate it.

and here is the dress:
sorry, for some reason the pictures are all way too big. and i don't know how to fix it. comments and criticism and suggestion appreciated!!!!

3  my first item of clothing--a skirt! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by emiwcch on: June 13, 2006 10:22:25 AM
really, it's just two pieces of fabric sewn together with a button to close it with. i couldn't get any good pictures of the waistband, unfortunately. i didn't want to line the skirt, so i've decided to only wear it over jeans since it's see-through. and i haven't hemmed the bottom yet, as you may have noticed.  Roll Eyes here it is! comments appreciated.

4  polka dot hobo bag & attempt at crocheted hobo bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by emiwcch on: June 06, 2006 07:17:44 AM
Lately, I've been obsessed with big floppy bags. I don't carry that much stuff in my purse; I just like to have a lot of room in my purse in case i have a need to carry something large. Does that make sense?
Anyhow, I made a pink polka dot bag (which really isn't big at all but the tute didn't have measurements so I winged it and it's kinda tiny) and a crocheted turquoise thing. I really don't know what to call it. the polka dot bag was made from muahtimespi's tute and the turquoise thing was made from almondeyes121's tute (my bag ended up looking nothing like hers Sad ) I can never really nail a pattern so it looks like the original. i should work on that. so, anyways, here are the pics.

modeled by my puppy!! (he did not enjoy this at all, by the way)

in "action"

and my failed turquoise bag. here's a link to the original so you can see how badly i really failed: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=92096.msg869103#msg869103

detail. failed detail, albeit, but still detail. Undecided
