1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Post Photos of Your Tattoos! on: May 08, 2007 11:44:46 AM
my second:
More latin,Carpe Diem means Seize the Day. im not really sure of my obsession with Latin but I think it's got alot to do with my love of languages. it's an ambigram in old english by John Langdon i borrowed from the internet. It's a really party trick and when i go to the bar drunks are constantly making me lift my arm (or helping me) and lowering it so they can see that it's reversible. It will probably be a key piece in my left arm sleeve which will be dedicated to my love of books and writing and stories in general.

This makes me sad, someone commissioned John Landgon to create that tattoo design for -them-. You didn't just 'borrow' it.
2  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Sushi Cane on: April 12, 2007 05:31:58 PM
I have made a few canes and have gotten very good responses from others on them.

What I did was look up online how to make the actual sushi, the way everything is placed etc. and make my cane to mimic that exactly. I don't know how intricate you want to get but I made a cane of the lighter and darker pink stripes that salmon has, put that in there with the dark and light green cane for avocado, and a cane of translucent and white for the rice, I pressed out a one to one of black and green (I felt it was the closest to the color of the seeweed.) for the outside and bam!

Good luck with your future attempts.
3  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Show off your hair! And questions about hair styles! on: April 10, 2007 01:19:59 PM
haha, well my hair definitely does not compare to all your guys cool blue and pink hair (never in a million years would i be able to dye my hair) but I'm going to get my hair cut today, mainly because i haven't gotten it cut in almost a year and the ends are all split, but i figure wile I'm there, i should get some kind of haircut! My hair is kinda wavy/curly, like bad curls, and i definitely don't want layers because it would be too poofy. I have a really round face too.

Well i just took this but i had a bunch of zits and was smiling insanely so i scribbled it out. I might try again for a better angle. Any a better smile.
thanks!

Honestly, it looks like your hair pretty much is beautiful. And if you don't want layers because it will be too poofy, you probably don't want to lose much length either. I'd say take off no more than 3 inches.

As far as having "bad curls" - do you use any curly hair products to make them not so bad? What do you mean by bad? I love curly hair - mine is on the curly side of wavy and I am still trying to find a product to rein in its crazyness.

5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: stretched ear jewelry--beware piercings (IMG HEAVY) on: February 22, 2007 12:54:19 PM
wonderful! So much easier and cheaper than searching for and buying plugs from shops and online, I bet.

6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Bunch of things i made over the last few monthes... IMG EXPLOSION on: January 15, 2007 11:08:45 AM
I'm jealous, in Texas we get no snow days.

Those items are super cute. Maybe you shouldnt store up all your creations for months, you should post em as you make them...and maybe post some links of the multiple views of each item..
I love posts with pictures, but I think my computer had a near death moment while trying to load it all.

okay i posted awhile back about getting my black hair blonde..i was going to do it myself i bought the bleach and everything but i was so scared i was gonna damage my hair so i didnt do it..anywhoo
to the hairstylists on here if i went to a salon and wanted it almost white blonde how many times do you think i would have to go back and have them bleach it......

it's going to do a whole lot of damage to do that. a girl from school did that, and her hair was so damaged, it broke off. it was awful. i would recommend getting that blonde gradually.
