23  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Vintage Suitcases-What should I do?!?! on: December 09, 2007 01:12:03 PM
um.. step one:  send them to me!  Cheesy
what a great find!  i found a vintage train case and i just cleaned it up on the outside and in because i liked the colors and it was still in pretty good shape.  these look like they can be restored pretty easily (from the pix, i don't know how banged up they are in person) but if you did decide to "update" them i'd love to see how they turned out!

i personally love the idea of a curvy girl pin up.  i'm getting some nakie ladies on my right arm as a half sleeve and i want them to be curvy, i think natural looking women look so beautiful.

28  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: water polo hat thingy? on: December 02, 2007 09:09:15 AM
Water polo boys are weird.  I remember two of them wandered around on deck in girls' swimsuits that were owned by our school for rentals.
now thats just weird.  ewwww, girls' swimsuits for rent (ewww) + boys wearing 'em = baaaad picture in my mind.  haha!
29  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / water polo hat thingy? on: November 29, 2007 11:03:02 PM
so my pal's bro owns a water polo company...thing...stuff... i don't really know.  he owns a business that has something to do with water polo.  anyhoo, my pal asked me to make a hat for his bro that looks like a water polo cap, but you know, knit.  i have a pattern i think i can modify well enough but i'm having trouble figuring out how i'm gonna make the ear thingys (sorry, i know nothing about water polo, let alone the technical terms for the uniforms, but i do like watching cute boys play  Wink )   they kinda stick out a little, i think i can get away with making them solid, without the holes, as it seems the holes are different on each style.  anyone got any ideas?  i'd love to just be able to crochet in the round but for some reason i can't.  i've tried a million times to and it just never works for me.  any help would be great, as this is supposed to be an x-mas gift (yeah, thanks for letting me know so close to x-mas pal, oh and thanks for telling everyone i'm taking commissions without asking me, jerk.  my list is now soooo long. ok rant over.  good thing i'm celebrating the holidays with my family in january!)
30  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Reconning Graduation dress as Wedding dress! on: November 29, 2007 10:38:53 PM
first off congrats!!!  ah, love! the best thing ever, isn't it?  and secondly, you crack me up, lady! "pregnant aging drag queen!" hahahaha Cheesy  i like the ideas you have going, i think it will look cute like that, i agree with yberry about having the titanium fabric peek out the hem, that would look really pretty!  yay, can't wait to see the final dress!
