We are looking to showcase aspiring/ established fashion and or accessory designers in this area. We are also in the process of planning a fashion show! I had an issue like this when I was making purses. Someone wanted me to make some purses with the logo and colors of our university here. I told her I had done some research online (which I had) and it was not legal for me to do that. It was a good thing too because a few months later a retail store here was sued and had to close their business for the same reason!

My inspiriation skirt comes from Boston Proper's black and white collection and sells for $98 in their catalog. Ok I had the pic and lost it so here is the link   Huh

I tried my hand for the first time at pattern drafting. I used a more modern book but I followed directions and made a muslin dress from my drafted pattern. It fit perfectly in the bust but was much too big in the hips! I know I can alter it to fit me but I have the same problem as you, when drafting/sewing for others. I'm determined to learn this and not use another store bought pattern again.
