1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Kitty Cat Scarf (image heavy) on: August 10, 2008 11:22:22 PM
So cute!  I had to re-read your post to figure out why the darling thing only had one hind leg. That's hilariously adorable, poor kitty.

Your mom should love this!  It looks great.
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Rowan Kidsilk Haze on: May 27, 2008 06:06:55 PM
If you don't like the Kidsilk, my LYS made a gorgeous Modern Quilt Wrap from Stacey Charles Ritratto.  It works up similarly to the Kidsilk with a subtle metallic sheen and a bit less fuzz. I think it would be great in a Luna shawl.

Cute! I've been staring at my Bodum for months trying to figure out what to make for it, and here you have the cutest solution!  The best cozies are the ones that cover the opening because they retain heat better, so yours is perfect.

Why not buy one skein, do some swatching, and see what you think?
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Adapting socks in the round on: May 25, 2008 11:07:27 PM
I would suggest making a practice pair of regular socks first. Maybe a child's pair in a worsted weight yarn so it goes quickly, but you get the idea of the basic way to turn the heel and stuff like that. Once you do that you should have a better idea of how to adapt your pattern.

I think that's really good for your first time! These are so cute.  What a fun idea.

I love these!  I never really liked the look of the usual felted bead jewelry- just not my style- but these are unique and beautiful.  Thanks for sharing and welcome!
