491  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Bead embroidery interfacing on: September 09, 2006 11:54:02 AM
Hey folks,
Can someone tell me what kind of interfacing tutorials are talking about for beaded cabs and such? I have the stuff I use for sewing but it seem very flimsy. I have some pieces of felt that seem much more likely candidates. I watched a show on HGTV yesterday and the lady was doing it with this white (what she called) interfacing, but it was much stiffer than what I have.
Cheers!
Mel

I'm a newbie sewer, and have made a few things from patterns with my machine. I'm interested in cobbling together original ideas, but am not ready to go without a pattern entirely. I was looking at sewing-patterns.com and their patterns on CD, thinking I could probably mix and match bits somehow, but then it occurred to me that I've no idea how you'd get a usable pattern from the CD. Are they formatted to be printed on your regular printer and tacked together, or something?

Any help much appreciated!

I'm a relative n00b to Crafster, been lurking a lot, and thought I'd come out of the woodwork and make my Hi post a productive one. I've been beading for about a year, and have just started getting into polymer clay. Also a starter felting kit landed on my doorstep yesterday  Grin

These are a couple of my favourite beady things...

Hopefully I'll be back with some odd needle felted items in the near future!
