11  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Re: Cataloguing Patterns? on: May 08, 2011 01:03:50 AM
I made one myself in a Mac prog called Bento, that I can synch with my phone.
12  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / Re: How do I make this costume!? on: May 01, 2011 11:43:11 PM
Try this pattern: http://sewingpatterns.com/sub_item.php?item_num=2851SIM&model=%&new_category=&view=gallery&brand=&category=search&pageGoto=0&pageFormat=2|296|296&pageCount=1000&search=costumes&return=yes

and pick any overbust corset pattern you like.

You can get tights like that from sockdreams.com, and I know Hot Topic sell mini top hats.

Nope, leather dye and black acrylic paint.

Love the first outfit - perfect Smiley
Looks so neat and well finished, and great detail.

I used this tutorial: http://ranasp.deviantart.com/art/Leather-Mask-Making-Tutorial-41572623
And a large number of the Expert Village and Tandy Leather videos on Youtube as well.

I really recommend this for everyone, it's super fun and really quite easy.

I'm signed of skating until my chirorpractor says I'm good to go again, so I think I'll be spamming Craftster with projects for a while. I suddenly have all this free time again!

Here are the few in-progress shots I thought to take.

The stockings, for the fans:

I love Sock Dreams. I really recommend them.

Aw, thanks guys Cheesy

The stockings are from sockdreams.com and my hair was, well that orange coiffure was supposed to be scarlet red but didn't turn out quite right - it turned out better haha!

I would really encourage anyone who has the slightest inclination to try the TV patterns. The skirts are less complicated than any tailored dress you ever made. It's a lot of fabric and a lot of steps to be sure, but nothing weird. This jacket didn't have a regular collar, so the most complicated thing was the buttonholes.

Thanks guys!

Aisy, the patterns for the bustle and skirt were a piece of cake. The jacket was a bit more complicated but not rocket science!
