71  Re: Inchies Exchange! rd 2 GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by Jen Sews on: February 25, 2009 11:52:32 AM
I am sorry I have been so lax in posting pictures!   Cry  My little 6 1/2 month son has been sick and very very clingy.  He also wants to reach for the mouse and throw fits if i don't let him have it!   He is doing better now though.

I love these inchies from Myklia.  Thank you!!   I adore calvin and hobbes

Here are the ones I got from jellobird1.  They are utterly fabulous!  I really love them all and esp the one with all the tiny dots.

TwistedBlood made this inchie!  It is by far my absolute favorite.  Thank you!!!!!

TwistedBlood also made these other great and creative inchies.  I love how you did the cats whiskers!

Always Inpsired made these and I really love them too.  The tree one is from shrink plastic and the others all have great texture.

I am in awe of all you ladies.  Thank you so much!

72  Elephants Galore! (pic heavy) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Jen Sews on: February 04, 2009 07:12:09 AM
When my partner asked for elephant stuffies I knew that I had to try.  I went on a net wide search for the perfect pattern and I settled on Rumpled Quilt Skins  http://www.rumpledquiltskins.com/wwwrumpledquiltskinscom/2008/6/23/elephant-pattern.html

This post inspired me  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=205598.0

So without further ado here they are:

The three cloth ones have names.  The purple one I finished first and did with mostly machine stitching.  My son named him Enoch!
The blue and black one is for my other son and he was named Chance.  I did all the quilting this time by hand.   (The quilting helps give the Elephant a wrinkled appearance!)  The pink patterned one is for my swap partner and I named her Ruby.  I did the quilting and most of the seams by hand since she was smaller.  Each elephant took at least 10 hours from start to finish.  The last little guy was sculpted in polymer clay and then painted.  He was also for a swap, but he got broken  in transit Cry.   Thanks for looking!   Comments are most appreciated!

oh and I found the pattern for sale on Etsy.  I can't wait to get the tiger pattern that I ordered and start making some tigers!

74  Re: Tiny House Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Jen Sews on: February 02, 2009 09:41:07 AM
Sorry I didn't get pics up right away!  I am glad you posted a picture of your house in its new home, Malaki100.   I enjoyed making it but now I am completely blown away by the house you made for me and the other tiny houses in the gallery!

Here are couple pics I took:

I ADORE all the details, with the tiny cat, the garden hose and even the curtains I asked for!!   It is soooo sweet.  And this is almost the best part!   Here is a scan of the note she sent with the house:

My dh and I were both tickled with the description and creativity expressed.  Thank you!  Thank you!

75  Re: Chocoholics Unanimous Rd 4 Gallery of Sweet Chocolatey Indulgence! in The Swap Gallery by Jen Sews on: February 02, 2009 09:30:21 AM
I am finally ready to post my awesome package from Pinokeeo!!  (sorry it took me so long Cry)

First the chocolatey goodness!

Aren't the lego blocks so cute?!?!  My boys adore them.  There were more small chocolates but I have been eating them of course!   Cheesy

Here is the cute little box she made out of a magazine photo and also some great keychains, a magnet and a little mirror!

Next is this great journal!  She used coptic stitching to bind the pages.  It looks very professional.  I love it and I am trying to decide what to put in it.  I was actually thinking it might make a great desert recipe book!

And last but not least a baby rattle!  Rick seems to really enjoy it and I love its smooth design.

I really really really love everything!   If it wasn't such a hectic weekend I would have been bragging in here before!   Thank you Pinokeeo!

79  Tracy from Hairspray in Needlework: Completed Projects by Jen Sews on: December 29, 2008 07:31:16 PM
I made this for the 12 days of Christmas Swap.  I found a line drawing I liked and reinterpreted it for back stitching on aida cloth.  I hope you like it!  I thought is was something I could just whip up, but I ended up spending about 6 hours on the pattern and stitching.   Shocked

Thank you everyone for your nice comments on my dolls!   Kiss  I had a lot of fun making tiny dresses although they were a lot harder than I thought they would be.   I practiced a little bit on my creepy dolls swap.

I am so glad you like your doll Lolly Trolley and poyupop!

Here are all my dolls!   Thank you so much ladies!  I love them very much.  Smiley
