1  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Fantastical Fun with the Percolator App on: August 26, 2011 04:59:48 PM
I have the Percolator App on my ipad2 which helps create the most stunning images out of my art work.  Here is a bit of what I have come up with....

This one started off as a watercolor painting.  I used the ipad and app to alter it even more.

Here is what the original painting looked like before Percolator app was used.

Some more that started off as water color paintings.

This one is a photograph of our retro plaid couch that we bought at the thrift store.

I totally recommend purchasing this app if you have a nifty handheld device.  It has proven to be lots and lots o fun.
2  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Belle Isle Conservatory in Detroit (Lots o' pictures) on: May 05, 2009 08:44:50 PM
So if you ever find yourself in Detroit, visit the Belle Isle and the Conservatory on it.  Don't forget a camera or a sketch pad....

Thanks for taking a look see!
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Star Burst Beaded Rings on: April 25, 2009 09:08:37 AM
These are some beaded rings I have been working on...

The last three started off as just a ring base with a bunch of loops.  You make little charms with beads and head pins till you can't possibly add any more.  The pictures don't do them justice.  They are each very shiny and sparkly.
4  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Cat Portrait Cards on: April 06, 2009 04:45:00 PM
Been playing around with more cat portraits.  I think they make the cutest cards.

Baby Cat in Fancy Chair

Kimono Cat

Fancy Coat Lady Cat

Young Boy Cat

And this is a link to my original cat cards...

5  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Applique Bird Sketchbook on: April 04, 2009 02:31:44 PM
I'm fairly sure this is the right place to post....

Appliqued the bird and turned it into a sketchbook with random paper inside.  It was my first applique project.

Whatcha think?
(and is there a more appropriate place to put this?)
6  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / buttons v. snaps v. velcro on: March 24, 2009 09:03:01 AM
So I don't have kids yet, but my family members have become baby making machines, so i want to make them some baby clothes.

My question is what is better??  buttons, velcro, or snaps?  Especially when making the inside fastener for kimono top or swing tops.

I'm guessing it could depend on how old the baby is?  Any knowledge on the subject would be great!
7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Cat head on human bodies adorn me neck on: March 22, 2009 06:13:28 PM
So I have been playing around with some images of cat head on human bodies.  Who doesn't love cat heads on human bodies.

The first batch are wooden bases, painted, and sealed...

The second batch are little frame charms I found at the craft store...

Now tell me those didn't make you smile!
8  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Nothing more awesome than cat heads and human bodies on: March 12, 2009 10:52:37 AM
With the help of a photo editing program, I have dove back into  my passion of putting cat heads on human bodies. And to let more people enjoy my artwork, I put them on greeting cards.

9  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Star Wars - Revenge of the Sith - Key Players on: January 30, 2009 10:01:40 AM

The first of many to come...

Each is about 2 inches tall.

You got Padme in my favorite costume, Ankin (notice the gloved hand), Obi wan, and Mace Windu.

Wardrobe is based off of Revenge of the Sith movie.

I coated them with a sealer for extra protection.

Thanks for peeking!!
