2  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / tiny little lunchboxes? on: December 17, 2003 11:09:25 PM
I found some candy at a dollar store packaged in tiny little lunchboxesw (with handles and everything!) - unfortunetly, they all have 'The Osbournes' or 'Buffy' or something equally gross on them - - (and the candy is gross).

So what can I make out of them other than itsybitsy storage?

I thought about pouring wax into the tin and making travel candles, but wasn't sure how to go about decorating the tin in a way that would not result in setting myself on fire.

Also, I'd like to make some kind of a fun stocking stuffer out of them for my mom - who collects weird retro lunchboxes - but she is not a candle person.

Suggestions?
[I know someone will think of something!]

What about using the Tao/Dao symbol in some way?

4  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Historical Paper Dolls? on: November 25, 2003 08:17:10 PM
So I have a bunch of sets of historical paper dolls from when I was little, mostly Tom Tierney - 20s, 30s, civil war era, etc - all the costumes and little accesories (like top hats!).

What can I make with them??

2. and the glasses are still safe to wash along with other dishes?

Is it possible to put colored bulbs in taplights?
Or, maybe they market colored taplights? I don't know, I've never thought of a need for them in my house - but that is so pretty, I'll probably end up buying a few.

Nice! I have curtain-sheets in my room, too - but I am not so fancy...I always just bought the sheets that have a large hem on one end, cut a slit, and slide the pole through that!
