Hi everyone. I DID recieve from Star217, I'll post pictures as soon as my camera charges. I sent her package today priority so it should get to her in a couple days. If you want, I can go ahead and post pictures of what I sent her to prove to you guys I havent flaked =/ I feel awful about being so late and I'm so sorry!! =(
Im not sure what weight I have.. i got it at joanns, it was a "remnant" but it was ALOT.. at least a yard or more, for like a dollar (love the 50% off sales heh). But, it works fine with my machine using the reg foot. Its about the same thickness as the vinyl bags you'd get linens or other things in.
Also, I'll def try to match people up with similiar interests, but, you never know how that'll go. And plus, the joy of receiving a cd is finding new music. I put alot of industrial and "goth" music in my last cd swap, and people who said they never wanted to listen to that kind, or never liked it before, actually really enjoyed it. So.. who knows?
Ok. Im thinking MP3 format cd's, unless someone has a personal preference to regular audio. And I guess just however many songs you'd like to put on there. I cant really see having a set limit, because I know I have some songs I'd like to share that I just love for no other reason than I just friggin love it and I'd like to let other people hear them, you know? I dont think we need to go into a big deal with packaging. Just make a track list and do some cover art. But, I guess you can talk to your partners about that. I'm thinking it all depends on how many people sign up how many partners there'll be. I guess like 3 to 5. Im sending off my swaps this weekend or Monday, and I should have this swap ready for people to sign up by Friday ( I hope!) I've never organized a swap before, so.. please bear with me!
I make purses and bags, and embroider alot. Im working on a quilt right now to send to the hubby, but I suck at binding! lol. I made one the first week he was gone, and just could not bind it for the life of me, so I just started sewing yarn around the edges (sad, I know). I've been trying to crochet more, bc its fun and def a stress relief for me. But, I'm game to try anything. Have sewing machine.. will travel lol
Hey guys! Anyone near Fairchild or around Spokane who'd like to get together for craft projects or something? I've become very restless, and I dont know many people here still. My husband is deployed to Iraq till April and I just need to get away and meet some people and take my mind off things. Anyone want to meet up? =) Celeste
