Ok, here's how Ive been making the pyramid bags, if it'll help you guys..
First I wanted my bag to big a bit bigger, so I started with 2 fabrics, outer and lining that were 10x20 inches..and a zipper
(i had to use a diff zipper, bc i didnt realize how short that purple one was heh)
Then.. I took the lining and the outer.. and sandwhiched the zipper in between. The good side of the outer onto the right side of the front of the zipper. Sorry im not that great at explaining that part.. i just do it lol

here's both sides all pinned in place..

then.. sew the fabric to the zipper on both sides..

once you get both sides sewn together.. zip the zipper back up.. and turn it so the lining and underside of the zipper is showing.. fold it so the zipper is in the center..and sew the bottom.

I sewed a couple lines down, just to make sure..then trim..

Now.. unzip the zipper some.. and fold the bag so that the zipper is going down one side...this is the time to add a handle too. I put the handle about an inch or more next to the zipper at the top. You can see the ends of the handle sticking out here.. sew it across the top..

then trim and turn right side out..

and there you go...




I know my lining isnt the "cleanest" looking.. but, it works for me. One day I'll figure out a way to make it less messy looking.. but, I like it anyways. Hope this helps some ppl.

Heres my baby Bloo. I dont know why I named it that, its usually just Baby.. as in "come on, Baby! You can do it, Baby!" lol. I got her from Freecycle. A very nice older woman gave it to me because she couldnt use it anymore. I love, love love it! She's a Singer model 9410...scuse the messy craft area heh


Heres my other machine, I got this one from Freecycle too. I know, I didnt pay for either machine. I got this one first actually, and I thought it was broken, bc I couldnt get it to work..the guy I got it from said his wife left it and it had been sitting in his garage for 5 yrs. Turns out it was just the tension. Works great now.I cant remember the model number, its in the basement bc my son lost the throat plate on it.


Edit*  I forgot to mention I also have a super old Singer I got when they were having a bulk pick up day here on base (everyone throws away anything and everything, like beds and couches and stuff). Its solid metal and looks like it used to sit in a cabinent. Ive never used it, but its very clean and new looking. I just couldnt let it get thrown away. I have no idea how to use it, maybe one day I'll find a manual for it and try it out heh

I got my stuff in from Rockwaterfalls today!!! You rock so hardcore Amanda!! I was having a bad day/week (horrible toothache, had to go to the ER =/) and this really made me happy!!

Heres the awesome goodies that were inside. That box is soooo friggin cool! theres a cute journal, some buttons (i *heart* zombies hahah!), a misfits bracelet, a cute cuff, lip balm and a neat little sache thingie. What is that scent btw?? IT smells soooo good!


And heres the rest. Very awesome postcard. I think Im going to frame it.Some xmen stickers, another cute little bag, smokers gum which I never heard of but im so about to open it up and take a piece lol and a very cool pen!!!

My newest projects... I had this adorable ice cream pattern, and I just HAD to make something out of it, so I drew out this design and made a cute purse!!


 I just noticed its a bit crooked, but, my son was in my ear the whole time, and I really wanted to finish it =)



Im still getting the hang of zippers.. and they are still annoying lol

And heres something I whipped up, and then after I was done I realized I totally didnt make a closure!! Now I gotta figure out how to do that heh

I sewed a cute star button on there to cover up the sew marks from the snap

It holds alot.. I know I dont have much of anything in there lol, but, it can hold alot more than whats there hehe. The id holder does have a little bit of vinyl in there. I kinda cheate don that hah. I glued the fabric down to the vinyl with tacky glue, then sewed after it was dry. Made it soooo much easier!!What do you think? I dont know if I want to keep it, or maybe sell it? not sure if its "good enough" to sell. Comments?

So, with all my swap projects completed, I decided to make a new apron. I didnt make it for myself, bc it is definitly too small for me (damn bigness heh). I was hoping to sell it.

I used this adorable fruitsy fabric I got at walmart, and I put baby rickrack all along the edge and the top of the pocket. What do you guys think? Is this sell worthy? Comments are mucho appreciated!!
