1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Fabric Pocket T-Shirt with Peek-a-Boo Cat! PLUS VIDEO TUTORIAL! on: August 31, 2015 01:16:22 PM
Hello everyone,

I've seen shirts like this online and thought hey, I can make that!  I did purchase the t-shirt (and modified it a bit) and added the cat and the pocket.

I even have a video tutorial on how to put it all together!

Check it out here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0OCbKB_9Ik

The whole shirt:

The cat and pocket!  At my job I have access to a vinyl cutter and heat press, which is how I made the cat.  The pocket is just fabric.

Peek-a-boo!  I love how when you pull back the pocket, the rest of the cat's face is hidden in there!

Thanks for looking!

Hello everyone!

I was inspired by the beautiful summer weather to make these beach themed candle holders.

Using a mason jar and an old wine glass, I used seashells and other bits and bobs to make these Smiley

These are so cute! I'm always looking for ways to use all of my scraps and old clothes that could do with some cutting up and re-purposing.... These may just be the next thing I try.

Thanks! They really are great for using up scraps Smiley

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Burgundy Slouchy Hat with Bow on: October 09, 2012 06:50:28 PM
Wow that is beautiful! I have tried the pretty puffy hat as well, a few days ago in fact. I was frustrated with it because it came out a bit to small. I am new to crocheting and don't know how to modify patterns to fit me. UGH such is my life :/ Would you mind writing a pattern for what you did? I find this hat gorgeous! Also how to do the bow. I would greatly appreciate it. Smiley

thankyou! i have made this hat in the past and had it come out too small as well. i can't remember exactly how i made mine bigger but i did mention in this post that i added a few extra increase rows at the back of the hat. my advice would be to follow the pattern and keep trying it on your head as you go, and keep adding increase rows until it feels comfortable, and then continue the pattern, and use less decrease rows near the end so it doesn't end up being too small again.

for the bow, i just did a chain long enough to make the length of bow i wanted, and did a bunch of rows back and forth until it looked tall enough. i crocheted a small rectangle and cinched it around the main piece and sewed it all together

Really cute! That bow totally makes it. Nice job on the ribbing, too. It says "Fall" all over it!

thanks! Smiley
