wow for someone who have just made a couple of bags this looks really good. I've only starte dmaking bags myself but i can't imagine making this now. With the pockets and the material. Is it different working with nylon?

On a different note - I have the textbook! haha I took it during my foundation year a couple of years back Smiley I think i can still recall the author's name - james s stewart or something?

I like it! The bag looks funky and the shape is just perfect. I like the fact that it is different. I would love to see how you did this Smiley

I like the fabric you use, it's really pretty... and the bag looks really sturdy! I'm trying to imagine you putting in the plastic canvas frame but have no idea how it is done. Any chance you could explain?

Did you use interfacing for the straps as well? They look strong too.

Wow... the bag looks professionally made, at first I thought you were showing a bag you love and wanted to copy... turns out you made it!

I like the black and pink side, I can see it matching a lot of my tops.

Did you use a particular pattern or did you designed it yourself? It would be great if you could show how it is done Smiley

 Lovely work!

I started to learn how to operate my mom's old fashioned sewing machine last December, and after I got my stitches straight and neat, I started to go crazy with making bags.

All of the bags are made with tips and instructions from various tutorials around here, so I owe Craftster a great big deal.

(First time posting a topic and totally a beginner in making bags, but I appreciate constructive criticisms Smiley

This is the first bag I made. My mom got the fabric in the late 80's when she was at some fabric sale and has kept it until I saw it. I totally love this. I call this bag the Disco bag.

This is a bag I made for my sister. It is also the first time I tried the flat bottom thing.

A bag I made for my friend. I used the same flat bottomed tutorial but I added some patterned fabric.

These two are purses I made for my friends. It was the first time I tried interfacing and uszing zippers. I don't have a zipper foot though, but I didn't know the difference when you have one, so I couldn't really say. but I struggled a little bit.

I botched the second purse - the fabric is a sari material and it was quite slippery and when I was cutting it I stretched it so that it came out crooked and weird. That explains the weird shape Sad

Also a bag for a friend. She likes green and always have her cellphone and keys all over so I added a pocket on the front side using the lining fabric. The bag is square bottomed and reversible, but I kinda botched the lining's side seam, so I prefer to make it only one side haha!

Finally, a simple drawstring bag I made for myself. I used leftover ribbons as straps.

Thanks for taking the time to look everyone Smiley I only hope the next time I'll get even better with making these bags hehe.
