2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Discussion and Questions / Transparency Question on: August 09, 2006 10:27:32 AM
okay. so I called a reprographics place locally and they quoted me $18 a sq/foot for a print out of an 18" x 24" image... that's $54... There has to be a better way to get large transparencies printed, right?

7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Baby/Toddler Slings on: June 20, 2006 03:52:32 PM
I don't know if this is the right place to post this, i hope it is. I read a previous thread about Baby Slings, but I didn't see any of the answers I'm looking for.
We are going to a three-day music festival with our firecracker of a toddler. I have a sling, but she's pushing 25 lbs, it's thick, and it's black.  I'd like to make a sling of a lightweight breathable fabric or something similar that I can carry her safely on my back. without the plastic ring thing that always leaves a big fat red mark on me. does anyone have any recommendations? the fest is this weekend!

Any any any help will be much appreciated!
Thanks,
carla
8  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / First Finished Blanket Project Ever! on: June 01, 2006 09:41:00 AM
I always start to make a blanket. I start with tedious cutting and recutting, and I start with great fabrics and end up making skirts out of them.  Long story short I never finish making blankets, until now! I finally finished one, and I love it!

9  UNITED STATES / Kentucky / Hancocks - NKY Florence/Cincy on: May 11, 2006 10:55:57 AM
hancocks fabrics is having a closing sale. a girl who works there said that this saturday they are getting a huge shipment of fabric in, and they are selling it for 50% off and if you take the rest of the bolt you get an additional 10% off.  I bought a bunch of stuff there last week - good quality fabrics.

happy shopping!
10  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Spring Sprout Pillow Covers on: May 09, 2006 08:40:52 PM
I decided that online existence costs too much in shipping for everyone, so... instead of making pillows. I made pillow covers. I used 100% cotton in a pretty robin's egg blue and hand screenprinted my little sprouts on them and sewed them up. the ink is dark brown, but it looks almost black.  They fit an 18" stuffed pillow snuggly. so cute.
tell me what you think, or if you have any suggestions... this is my first post, so... hi!
