i love all you people and your wonderful ideas.
i taped the transparencies together. i thought for sure the tape would leave lines, but it didn't. it burned perfectly.
thank you!

I want the end result to be as if I went to the local Joann Fabrics or Hancock Fabrics stores and bought 10 yards of pre-printed material. This is the type of 'commercial' I was thinking.

I plan on purchasing a Muslin or other inexpensive material to Sew my own crib set for my baby, but the fabrics I'm finding just aren't cutting it with me!! So I want to print the fabric myself, and the print absolutely MUST be soft and non irratative, ie completely cohesive with the Muslin fabric its printed.

I'm in the process of making a crib set too.  My plan is 100% cotton fabric  (hobby lobby has some for moderate prices ) with a hefty thread count, I plan on using my speedball water soluble inks. But I'm just printing silhouettes of animals on squares, not patterns.

4  Re: What Is Screen Printed Applique? in Screen Printing: Discussion and Questions by supastarr on: June 07, 2006 10:29:57 AM
i would guess one of two things. either you screenprint on some fabric and then applique that to some already made item. or you screenprint on an item then applique something like that on it. Recently, I made a skirt, screenprinted a skull & cross bones on it, then applique'd a pink bow on... maybe that's what it means. then again, i could be way off.
