121  Cats in the kitchen in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by gkswife on: June 14, 2006 03:29:32 PM
I made this apron for my mom-in-law for mother's day (just finished it Saturday night -- oops) it's a pattern I made after studying an apron I had and making some modifications. It has an adjustable neck and it ties in the back. It also has 2 pockets on the front but it's hard to tell with this busy fabric!  I'm also posting a pic of the one I made my mom for mother's day out of some John Deere fabric.

122  Big boys toys shorts in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by gkswife on: June 14, 2006 03:17:50 PM
My oldest son who turned 6 yesterday just LOVES John Deere tractors and that was his party theme so I made him some shorts to wear using New Look pattern 6398. Then I decided how cute would it be if the boys were matchy matchy so I made my 7 month old some shorts by tearing apart a pair of pants he won't use and cutting them short, then I used some heat bond to attach the piece of fabric to his onesie. I think it turned out great and my 6 year old loves that they have matching shorts!

comments/helpful criticisms  appreciated.

123  Re: plus-size blank t-shirts? in Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions by gkswife on: May 25, 2006 01:00:28 PM
OK I've never posted a pic before so I hope this works, I have one of the Just My Size T's from Wal Mart and I really like it, it's comfy & washes well. Here it is on me so you can get an idea of how it fits. It's not the greatest shot as my 5 year old son is the one who took it but you get the general idea.
