I received from Frankie (Averia's daughter) and Wowee is it fantastic!! Shocked

Here is the whole lot. A lovely warm scarf (there may be fights over this when it gets cold!), a beautiful tie dyed shirt that will be perfect for my niece, some sun catchers that will go on the window above my kitchen sink, a magnet that is already on my fridge, an embroidered quote in a hoop, an amazingly stitched needle book, a coffee cozy and a bag that is soap with a lizard in it!

I got this amazing hoop with one of my favorite quotes on it - this is going in my craft room!

This is the needle book that has the awesome skull on the front, aren't these pins fantastic!

I have a serious coffee addiction so this caffeine molecule coffee cozy is perfect!!

This is such a fun thing! It is a bag with a lizard in the soap! It is hard to see but I tried to get a shot of the lizard, the kids have not yet seen this but I expect there to be a fight over it!

Frankie - I felt privileged to be able to make you a package but I am certainly even more privileged to have received from you!

Oh my goodness did Gabe get spoiled! Todd did an amazing job on all this stuff! Gabe was thrilled and had so much fun opening the box!

First item he pulled out

guess what he is planning to wear to school tomorrow!

next up

this will be awesome in his room as we are going to have a red & blue theme since he loves KU so much!

Canadian Word Book, eh?

What's that? It's not a book? It's something even more awesome for an 11 year old boy?

Ah, a secret compartment!!

This next item has Gabe planning what he is going to do with his pop tab collection!

These two just rocked our socks! They are amazing, we are planning how to frame/hang them so they don't get messed up!

Here is a shot of all the crafted items together! So amazing!

On top of all the amazing crafted goodies are the extras in the box! The black journal has blank pages which will be perfect for Gabe to draw in! A Canada keychain, a book we haven't read, a Maple leaf sucker made from real maple syrup, chocolate coins (2 are now gone, got him to share 1 with his brother!), Kinder eggs - he opened one after supper and inside was a monkey stamp! There is also a box of Nestle Smarties and a fun dog toy that has already been squeaked and played with!

This was an amazing package, makes us want to send more for Todd now! Thanks so much for spoiling my boy, this has been a great experience for him and has both of our creative juices flowing!

3  Re: Boycott the craft store Destash Swap Gallery! in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by gkswife on: July 17, 2011 09:06:33 PM
I received on Friday from craftyorange, just have not had time to play with it or post until now!

It is all so fabulous! I can't wait to start crafting with it!

Here is a pic of the whole lot:

The black & white fabric with the green will most likely become a skirt for me! LOVE all the boyish fabric it's perfect and the floral stuff is absolutely fabric I would have picked out. There are 2 purse handles, some blank frames, a wedding cross stitch kit, a couple bags of goodies I photographed seperately, some rockin iron ons and a learn to crochet kit! SO excited!!

Here is what is in the little ziplock bags:

I have a friend who just got a new camper and I got inspired by the camper ribbon to make her a gift using it!

I love it all!! Thanks craftyorange!!!

4  Beyblade (battling tops) stadium in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by gkswife on: June 19, 2011 08:07:21 PM
Normally I am the crazy crafter in this house but my husband got this idea to make a stadium for our oldest son's birthday for his Beyblades.  I did a little research to see what people have successfully made them out of and ran across one made out of a small satellite dish. Wouldn't you know we just happened to have one lying around in the shed! My husband did all the work save for me helping with the stenciling! I am so proud of him for putting this together for our son, who freaked out when he saw it!!  The dish itself is 18 inches by 20 inches. It has already had a lot of use in the week our son has had it!

Here it is just after unveiling:

Here it is with two of the Beyblades battling on it:

Hope you enjoy this and maybe even get inspired! It has brought a lot of fun at our house!

Prepare to be jealous!!! efirechild & I decided to do more than the required amount so there are lots of pictures! The book she chose for us is "Walter the Farting Dog" this is such a perfect choice for my boys! My boys are 4 1/2 and almost 10 so it was geared toward my youngest but my oldest has been enjoying it as well!

Here they are reading it together this morning

Here are most of the goods together. A HUGE dog pillow that David is in LOVE with! A "Fart Free Biskwee" box that will be used to keep David's treasures (rocks mostly) in, 2 dog treat recipes which my oldest is excited to make for our pooch, The book, another book "Everybody Needs A Rock" and the"I FART" bandana on the pillow dog (there is another one for our dog!).

Our dog with her bandana (so appropriate for her!)

magnets with pictures from the book (I put the measuring tape so you could see how big they are!)

Super Awesome hand drawn Walter the Farting Dog shirt!!!!

6  Re: Flat Rate Fill-a-Box: New Years 2010: Send by 1/19/10 in The Swap Gallery by gkswife on: January 16, 2010 08:58:23 AM
I received from troll1984 today and what a haul I made!

first off, I got the label maker which is exactly like my old one (that just pooped out) except that the one she sent works and is gray! I put them together before tossing out the old one:

Here is all the loot together (can you find the hidden message?)

the jewelry goodies (I'm wanting to get into some more jewelry making and this stuff is so awesome!)

the stickers and misc card making/scrapbooking supplies

I'm not sure what I like the most it is all so great! I am especially loving the Dragon Tales fabric as both of my boys loved that show, I may put it in each of the memory quilts I'm going to make them. The deep pink fabric is a silky wonderful fabric, no idea what to use it for yet but I love the color and the feel of it! There are cross stitch supplies, including a baby afghan that I now have a plan for! I could just go on & on about all of it I am so excited! Thank you so much troll1984!!

What I have to do today: get groceries & do laundry
What I want to do today: play with my new goodies!

Even my hubby thought it was awesome loot!

I have to say I am relieved to have them all done and in the mail but a little worried that mine aren't as good as everyone else's.

I have 2 variations on Minnesota as I ran out of the bubble fabric

Nebraska - "the Cornhusker State" BUT it used to be called "the Tree Planter State" Arbor day started in Nebraska!

The block is a little crazy but I really like it!

Here is the Montana block - I haven't trimmed it up yet, so please ignore the wonkiness! The colors are also more vivid in person.
