All these jewelry pics are so inspiring! Lately I've jumped into making my own jewelry. I've been having such a great time. Here's some of my projects:

I'm making two pieces of artwork for a fiber arts show that's happening in Taos, NM called Beyond The Fringe. Here's a snip of our art postcard:

I finished my owl for the baby gift. The pattern is from Charmed Knits. All the yarn is stash yarn. I made a few modifications. The base piece was too big so I just took a piece of yarn and threaded it through the bottom hole and sewed it closed. The pattern called for button eyes but since it’s for a newborn I sewed eyes on instead. My favorite mod was the hair. The owl just needed some hair:

I made the Umbilical Cord Hat in Ravenclaw colors for a friend who's pregnant. That's her favorite house from Harry Potter. The yarn is Mission Falls 1824 superwash wool.

I recently finished a nice pair of socks. Easy ribbing and lovely yarn variegation.

I'm finally done with Ogee. It started out being really hard lace work but by the end I was able to master the lace. I can really see myself wearing this over skirts and pants a lot.



I frogged a thrift sweater and knit up Ogee with the yarn. I'm amazed how much the pattern opened up after blocking. Surprisingly even though I used different yarn, smaller needles and altered the pattern somewhat the dimensions turned out to match the ones in the pattern.

This was such a fun project. And my name is eight letters so YAY!

A friend and I decided to do the Arwen Sweater from Interweave as a KAL. It was really fun to work on a project with somone and when I got confused on the short row sleeve shaping she helped me out. I'm very happy with the way it turned out.

I made mine in Lettuce Green from Knit Picks. The yarn was a dream to work with. And I have two and a half balls left over. Woot!





Wondertwins activate!

I originally got this bag through a Craftster swap. It started off plain white. I sewed on an outside pocket to cover up some advertising. Some friends dyed it for me. Recently I added lining and pockets to hold my knitting supplies. The lining came from a thrift jacket. More pics at my blog.

I'm knitting through my stash this year and recently finished a skirt. It's made out of Lion Brand Cotton Ease. I've always thought knit skirts must be heavy but that's not the case. This skirt is really lightweight. I'm really happy with the way it turned out!
